I'm new, I've been waiting to try out Guild Wars 2 for about a year, played gw1 a bit until I got hooked on the whole mmo thing and moved to wow. Anyway...
I have prepurchased the game, and am curently testing around in the wbe, and I had a couple of questions...
1: How does name-collides work? If I get the message that a requested character name is taken, does that mean it is taken on the specific server I am currently on? Or does the name have to be unique to the entire cluster of available servers?
2: I looked around in the keybindings, and couldnt find any shortcut for displaying FPS and latency, is there a way to display these figures?
3:Lastly, when I am in my graphics settings inside the game, it says that it is using renderer directx 9. Is this normal? I have directx 11 installed, and just a minute ago I ran the directx web installer to ensure I have the latest/working version, and there was no problem there.
Thanks for your help!

DX-11 will be updated at a later date post launch, so yes it's normal.
Not sure about the FPS question

I have to say, it's a bit sad that names are globally unique Makes it harder to tag the name you want for your character, even if I sortof can understand the coolness of having a completely unique name in the game.
Anyway, time to update my graphics drivers, just to make sure I get the best performance (feels like I'll need a new rig once the game comes out)
