Mods a poll would be great. Also Ive only played engi, thief and warrior right now. Engi has a lot of potential but its not my thing. Enjoyed Thief the most skill set is a load of fun. ( Really enjoyed its bunch of blinks)

Humm.. Let's see, there it's a ton of new and exciting things upon my head..

I have been pvping all day long, with the necromancer, elementalist, ranger, mesmer and engy.. I have to say, the most fun for me was the necro, I simply love the corruption and ever lasting darkness style. :)

My husband also got the thief and he was pretty happy.

Ranger was more fun than expected, but in the other hand engy was not in my line.

Humm..I was a terrible mesmer.. And my ele, with full vitality traits had only 13k hp... Jesus! I had to react in microseg to counter the thieves..or I just got reduced to mass potatoes (mist form while downed  ftw)   :P

I need to practise a little bit longer!

Cya in the WvW queue!

I have now played Mesmer and Guardian.

Haven't played guardian long enough but its very fun and mesmer is as fun as a thief. The illusion AI seems a bit buggy though

I enjoyed the thief animations the best, some very good stuff.

I liked the warrior in pvp, they have about the best survival out of the classes I played.

I didn't like the engineer at all.

Enjoyed the Engineer the most... with Ranger in second... I was slighty dissapointed with the Elemantalist to be honest. Necromancer and Theif were also fun... But what it comes does to is I don't think there was one clear favorite.. everyone will have different favorites so I think A.Net did a good job with the variety of skills and feel.

Engineer. Hands down. Not only do they look awesome/fancy (hello monocle), they can take out entire storyline missions - four/five levels above them - solo. Without taking any damage. Was even more fun than I expected the class to play, nowhere near as gimmicky as you'd think from reading the forums about the class.

Elementalist would be choice #2. Nice armor, flashy spells. Will probably have one as an alt.

ritualist that may or may never be on expansions, here is hoping for a return of chained spirits handler profession. that will probably sway me to play it more then my current decision to main a thief. anyway, i see potential in the  return of the ritualist theme and concept.

Wow, sounds like they will be good at farming? I'll have to try one out today, even if only for PvE.

Planned on Guardian and they lived up to my expectations but I was really impressed with a few others:

Ele - Originally I thought they were way overrated when I was using staff or scepter/focus. Then I tried d/d ... blew my *ing mind. Had a huge amount of fun with it. Might even make it my main.

Thief - I found d/d + p/p to be very versatile and survivable, constantly blinds, dodges, lots of self healing and projectile blocking. Will most certainly be an alt!

Engineer - Huge fun, and pretty effective I was really surprised considering the amount of bad mojo surrounding the class. My only complaint was the randomness of the buffs.

Had a blast on the Warrior tbh, more so than the Mesmer which is what I originally wanted to play.

I absolutely loved my Elementalist when I finally made one.  Only had about an hour to play with it though. :(  I spent most of my time on my warrior and guardian, and loved both of them, but probably the warrior more.  I think I just didn't have the right setup for the guardian.

Thief by far, the initiative system is SOO good, and I like not having to deal with cooldowns. It made it almost impossible for me to role another class, because I was too used to not having cooldowns, and running off initiative.

Most fun for me was the mesmer. Without lag and a bit of skill, I could make that char sing like a morning blue bird.

I played every profession but the guardian and would rank them as following in terms of my preference:

1) Engineer
2) Ranger
3) Mesmer
4) Necromancer
5) Elementalist
6) Thief
7) Warrior

I love the control skills the engineer has, plus axe builds with ranger are incredibly fun. Those are definitely my top two, and there is a big gap between mesmer and the rest as well.

Played all except the Guardian. I would say warrior was the most fun, but I have to say that the Engineer really surprised me. Really liked playing that profession as well. Also the diversity of spells (and possible playstyles) of the elementalist was also quite impressive.

Thief and ranger where ok in my opinion, although thief seems OP at the moment.

The professions I liked the least where the mesmer and the necromancer.

Without a doubt, the engineer is the most fun for me. I have used both a dual pistol/pistol and shield condition damage build, and a burst rifle build for PVP and they are both incredibly fun. I brought my grenade pack into WvW and had a ton of fun with that while defending a keep, and even had a bit of fun in PVE, though I never was that high in the PVE areas. After the engineer though, the other two main classes I had fun with was the warrior while using the rifle and longbow, didn't get all of the melee weapons so I didn't get to try them all out sadly, and the mesmer. I also enjoyed the necromancer in PVP, just not as much as my engineer

I've played most of them, except some, on principle. Namely the ranger, as I hate pets. But from my experience it was:

1) Mesmer- Not my playstyle, or what I see myself playing but boy was it fun with the staff and with clones in general.
2) Engineer- Great freedom in builds. Love how the specialized kits work, bombs and grenades namely, they are very simple and very effective. Cheap fun.
3) Guardian- Like how you are always helping allies, like symbols and wards. Just a fun class overall I Suppose.
4) Elementalist- Like the diversity but it can become too much to juggle.
5) Necromancer- Nice and simple to play, death shroud felt like a chore, but enjoyable to stack conditions.
6) Thief- Initiative is fun to spam, but apart from that it feels like a chore. Stealth and positioning are not something I find fun.
7) Warrior- Just plain boring, but quite effective. Lots of damage, lots of health but not much fun. Too boring for my tastes.

Based on the fun/enjoyment of the classes:

Here are my ranking:
Awesome fun~!:
1) Guardian- Love the protection and support options, and everything glowing blue. The animations are great. Actually everything was great. *drools*
2) Mesmer- Love confusing enemies in PvP with clones, and tricking them.
3) Elementalist- Love the diversity of the elements and possible combo.

Fun Fun~!:
4) Warrior- A beast of a class, tough, strong, and heavy fighter.
5) Engineer- Surprisingly quite enjoyable, but sure why some people dislike the class, but kiting is awesome with this class.
6) Thief- The mobility of a bow thief combined with the playstyle of quick endurance regeneration for constant dodging and positioning makes this class very enjoyable.

Also Fun (but not as much as the others)
7) Necromancer- A tough class to take down with proper use, able to have strong support and the conditions are very nice. Not a fan of the minion build though, however condition transfers and the death shroud mechanic is quite nice. Only rated lower than the others because if not too much of a fan of the 'dark arts', and having my character look so gloomy.
8) Ranger- Trying the variation of pets and the evasive style combat of the ranger is quite nice indeed. They are able to deal massive damage with proper synergy from the pet and traps. Rated lower because I prefer the style of the other professions (and not because I found it unenjoyable).

Overall: All professions were fun for me. I will definitely be making all 8 professions and playing with based on mood and rotation in PvP. Although probably only going to limit down for PvE advancement characters.

I had a lot of fun with a bomb engineer but it wasn't that good.    I actually wanted to bomb people a lot not just use it for 1 or 2 bombs with mainly pistol damage like others do.

a moderately defensive thief (I call it the half-glass cannon) who utilizes a lot of stealth based skills, is an incredible fun class to play in PvP.
You can do good damage from coming out of stealth, and while out of stealth you don't take that much damage (if you do dodges and tricks right) while still dealing enough damage to take someone out, and the time spent in stealth (combined with the movement speed increase trait while in stealth) allows you enough time to manoeuvre and ambush effectively.

It's a blast, but damn it tests your nerves and reflexes.

Ranger is good also.

My personal favorite is definitely the thief but I also like the ranger, mesmer ( though I suck at it right now), guardian, and as much as I didnt think I would at first, engineer.

In order it would be:
Thief (Sylvari or Human)
Ranger (Human)
Engineer (Asura)
Guardian (Norn)
Mesmer (idk)

Can't wait till release! :D

My favorite profession is Ele, but thief is a close second.

Necromancer. Got some good improvements in the last stress test, feels solid to play, can't wait how the class shapes up at launch.
