So beta is about to end soon so I thought I'd grab the 2000 free Gems and buy the 3 Dye pack and see what colours you could get from them.

Out of 12 packs, each with 3 dyes I did have 2 duplicates so if you do decide to buy them then there is a chance that you might get some colours that you already have. But the dyes can be traded and sold on the trading post if you wanted to.

Going to add my own to this list.  After 5 packs of dyes, I only got one repeat - though I'm a bit worried since none of the ones I got are the same as  Bazaritchie's, so prepare to spend a lot on buying all the dyes in the game.  Wonder how many there are...

Comparison between Frosting and Matte - Frosting is slightly warmer, and I prefer it over Matte.


Also, I'm assuming since I have Afternoon and Evening that there is a dye called Morning, but I don't know for sure.

Perhaps there is a night dye as well? At least I'd love to have one.

I bet that pure white and black dyes will be very, very rare, which is a thing that I'm not too happy about. It is a bit annoying that you have to hunt for the most basic colours for the longest time. Then again leaving them outside the starter pack might encourage people to use different colours more than they would normally do.

Riverbed and Taupe look like pretty good brown colors that I'd be interested.  Definitely still on the lookout for a true white, black, and gold, although those will probably be too intense really.

I unlocked a rare dye on the first night named 'Abyss Dye', but when I came to take screens in the morning it appeared that there had been a rollback, and I no longer had the dye. (My colourful seed I had handed to the dye manufacturer had also disappeared, and I didn't realise until 24 hours later D:)
It was extremely dark, and could possibly be the 'true' black dye.

that's gonna suck so much if black is actually rare. I have no idea how difficult dyes are to get though, because I haven't tried to find them.

I didn't get any good shots of all over dye, however I did buy a lot of dye and I have a shot of my window. There are a lot of them!



The colors on the character are midnight fuchsia, evening red, and mushroom. The white rare is named celestial and it is extremely white.

This thread inspired me to go buy a few dye packs with my unspent gems.

I got 16 new dyes - 4 of which were duplicates of what's already been posted here by others (Graphite, Lavender, Wine Ice & Wintermint).  These are the non-starter, non-duplicates.
