I would do more like http://www.gw2tools....aaaa;YaZa;bSTXZ this

Edit: If you have two ranged weapons then if someone gets in melee range you may be in tough shape. Traits I reworked a little... so it ended up a lot like the build I used in pvp was >.< Healing Spring is really a fantastic healing ability and I would use it over heal as one all the time. And traiting your frost trap to be ground targeted makes it better as a combo field.

It would be good to know what you are going for.  Most importantly though you need a real AoE weapon.  Greatsword is good, but Axe works well too.  Even with a Greatsword I wouldn't toe to toe for long with that build.  Keoshin's suggestion should work fine but it really is up to how you play.

Is this for PvE, PvP, WvW?

Do you want to focus on Damage Bursts, DPS, Harassment, Support, or Distraction?

Do you want to kite enemies, find a safe spot and run away when engaged, or take them head on?

The traits are terrible. Plus what the others said. Make a new one.

There's nothing wrong with using Longbow/Shortbow.  That's how I rolled all weekend long, and 1) I had very little trouble in PvE and 2) I got the top score in all the PvP matches I played.

It's very fortunate that both weapons have a "retreating" skill (Point Blank Shot & Retreating Shot), which are a huge help when enemies get in melee range.  Coupled with setting a trap between yourself and them, you can be untouchable if you know how to circle strafe & dodge properly.

The traits, however, I do have to say are a subpar choice.  Sharpening Stone also isn't that great a U-skill choice, because with Cross Fire and Crippling Shot, you'll be doing enough stacks of Bleeding as it is.  I definitely recommend taking at least one Signet for a good passive effect.  Signet of Stone and Signet of the Wild are good choices, but if conditions are a real problem for you, Signet of Renewal is fine as well (though it's arguably better to take Healing Spring for your healing skill for its own condition removal effect).

Again, Longbow/Shortbow is a great build.  I spent most of my time using it, and it was both a ton of fun and very effective in both PvE and PvP.  You just need to work out those traits and U-skills.

Edited to add: also, both Longbow (Barrage) and Shortbow (Poison Spray) have AoE skills.  Some prefer a fully AoE-centric weapon, but I found these two skills more than sufficient once you learn how to time their use to maximize efficiency.

I usually a archer in most mmo's.  So I love picking people off.  I think Ill go longbow/shortbow.

So I need to figure out a sniper spec.

I thought Longbow/Shortbow would be fine, thought with the Longbow's 4th skill I would be okay,
Ill check out Healing Spring for sure.
Jerakor this is for PvP I'm going for damage bursts and i'd kite mainly with Frost trap and then
use the Longbow 4th skill.
Kinda like this
