[Chesire]

Didn't see the need for 100 different threads of current/future Mesmer pvp videos so I did a search and snagged what I saw. I also went through some youtube videos and grabbed some (a lot of random ones) and threw them in the mix. I didn't grab everyone I saw because honestly if you want to watch hundreds of videos all of which 8 minutes long, feel free to search youtube for them. I just did this so people could get an idea of what was out there.

I put Lewis B's into the mix at the bottom so that people can go back and compare skills he had during his beta to those that we had--just for some added flavor.

Note: The List should be completely rebuilt at this point with videos starting at appropriate times to showcase the specified video for the corresponding section. If you have any other requests (changes to the list, sections added, etc.) please feel free to either post here or send me a PM and I'll see what I can do.

Went through the videos and added what each was using so you could pick and choose if need be. If we get enough videos I'll start dividing them among the main hand weapons used at the START of the video and list what the video contains later on. But I'll need more videos to have enough incentive to do that.

One thing I'm noticing in a lot of these is that even though we have secondary weapons, people rely really heavily on the GS and rarely ever swap weapons if at all. It's good to note that this is severely limiting your skill usage and puts yourself at a disadvantage in pvp; not just for us Mesmer but any profession.

They are all taken on the last night of the beta weekend. Featuring only Sword/pistol and staff gameplay - only structured pvp.

They would have been higher quality, but My HDD couldn't keep up unfortunately.

You can also combo with illusions (sword illusions invoke pull if there is a light field (temporal something runspeed field))

These videos aren't doing anything for me but make me miss the game even more. Lol. I keep thinking "Ugh...sick of the Spatial Surge spam" or "I think I did better than him..." or "Please use your other weapon set!". Upset that I didn't record any footage.

I know what you mean lol I really wish there weren't so many GS videos but it kinda motivates me to make my own next BWE--kinda want to see how the CPU handles it anyway since the game isn't optimized yet. Did fine on max settings this time around without FRAPS so I'm crossing my fingers.

You can also combo with yourself with staff and sword MH skills. The Leap on sword and clone skill on Staff both count as leaps and create Chaos Armor which can be generated from Chaos Storm and Null Field.

Guild went to Crystal Desert but I ended up somewhere else because it was full.. I completely forgot what server I went too, I just picked one at random.  I honestly have no idea where we'll be next round but that sounds like a plan! We'll probably be doing a lot of WvW though so I'm not sure if I'll get to SPvP much or not, but I'm hopeful!

I found a video on Youtube by mijahuDKV who gives a comparison between Mesmer and Thief pvp which I thought was a little interesting. I put it somewhat towards the top for easy locating and although he does use a GS in his build he shows how effective weapon swapping can be so I didn't really want to put it down with the other GS videos.

If you can't already tell, I do tend to put GS videos together towards the bottom of the list and before anyone has their feathers ruffled this is for a reason. Mostly they aren't in any specific order, however, since we've all seen thousands of GS pvp/gameplay videos I'm trying to put those videos that show off other weapon sets towards the top to make them easier to find. It's nothing personal and I don't want to step on anyone's toes. I just want to give the community a bit of variety and not make them shuffle through anymore of the same weapon sets just to find what they are really searching for.

As I mentioned before, with the rate that we're getting videos I'll have to start categorizing them soon anyway. Please do not take offense if your video is further down the list of someone else's. If you are offended, feel free to send me a nasty little PM telling me just what you think so that we don't clutter the thread with anything other than video links/comments on the videos.

I kept meaning to try out some other playstyles with my Mesmer this beta but I was just having so much fun doing the hack and slash thing in melee I never did!
