Will the equipment received through HOM grow with our characters? Meaning, if I select the Fellblade for my Norn Guardian as a level 1 character, inherently it would be a weaker great sword.
As a level up, will the stats of that Fellblade (DMG, +POWER, + VITALITY. etc) grow with me, or am I going to be stuck with a level 1 Fellblade?
The logical answer would be "Yes they will evolve with your hero." But does anyone know for sure?

So the HoM items will still be useful at higher levels.

[Edit] Arduin beat me to post I see... Still I'm pretty sure the specifics haven't been outlined.

HoM rewards are just skins not items, so you will have to acquire an item first, and then you can apply HoM skin to it.
As you progress and acquire new and better items, you just keep applying HoM skin to it, and you will be good.
It will not be the same item, but it will look like the skin you apply to it.
Outstanding.

no? rats.
I hope this is all correct, I'd love to be able to use that Ithas longbow skin and fellblade greatsword on my ranger until I start finding cooler looking stuff.

"Going forward into Guild Wars 2 we knew we had to trust our players to know how to dress themselves, so we introduced a system that has now become known as transmutation. With the transmutation system, you’ll be able to acquire new items known as Transmutation Stones through our in-game store that allow you to customize your appearance. With transmutation, you take two items of the same type, pick one that is the most visually appealing to you, one that is the most statistically appealing to you, and then you simply combine the two items into what will hopefully become your perfect piece of armor or weaponry.
With this system you can keep a “look” for as long as you want. Just because you picked up a cool new piece of armor, it doesn’t mean that you have to abandon the look and feel of your character up to that point (unless, of course, you like the new armor, and that’s fine, too)."
The Q&A with John and Eric on items and loot is also a good source for what the principles behind Transmutation stones are and what they're attempting to achieve with them.
As it stands items do not scale over time, but you can always give a favorite skin of yours some shiny new stats.

That is great news.

I suppose it's worth linking a video of it in action cited from the Press Beta Guild Wars 2 - Transmutation
