next is not my video, but this guy inspired me to play p/d since couple days ago and all i play now is p/d!
i play with a slight different build than his though and damn it's powerful.
and this is how i imagined the thief would play back in alpha; going in and out of combat/stealth a lot and evade attacks.

This is a video of small group thief gameplay vs zergs, etc. Part 1 of my world pvp videos with my guild Newlanders [NEWL].  Music is all old school game music with a few random tunes thrown in.  This is NOT a video where I only show "perfect" situations or clips.  I picked a  lot of random clips from my recordings the past few weeks to put in, so there are PLENTY of mistakes available.  I mainly upload this to help new players and for entertainment.  All the clips are taken from the Gates of Madness, Borlis Pass, and the Anvil Rock server matchup from around November 9th to November 25th, mainly on weekends.  Our group sizes generally range from 3 to 7 players.  The video is pretty long (30 minutes) so feel free to skim the video for the larger fights.  The video isn't really meant to highlight a bunch of flashy damage numbers, but how our group plays vs much larger numbers.  Watch on 720p.  Hope you enjoy it.



My spec is 25/30/0/0/15
Weapons: Dagger/Dagger + shortbow
Food: Omnomberry ghosts for extra sustain, maintenance oil
Stats generally range from 2300 power, 69% crit (with perception stacks), 104% crit damage unbuffed to 2500-2600 power, 89% crit, 104% crit damage buffed.  
Our group makeup is generally 2 thieves, 1 mesmer, 1 guardian, 1 engineer + the possibility of 1-2 (elementalist, mesmer, guardian, or thief) random others.  We don't have a single necro, warrior, or ranger in the guild who are active so we only have 5 class options.

My gear is nearly straight berserkers with ruby orbs thrown into all armor slots.  I have all berserkers accessories except for a valkyries ring and amulet.  3 daggers:  One with sigil of rage (quickness), sigil of air, and a perception dagger for working up stacks of precision.  Shortbow has a flame aoe sigil.

^Not to bash you but you were playing against some extremely noobie people...I don't even know how many times you should have died if the other team knew how to play. You definitely had a lot of luck going up against such bad players!

I know its a pug and so it doesn't really matter, but when you play an actual serious tpvp game, you might want to seriously bring shadow refuge. It will save your ass as well as your teammates numerous times. Shadowstep + refuge is pretty much a must in serious team play.

Video vs some high ranked, avanger ransackers etc: Did it with a premade group from deso. Without Teamspeak etc

I Disagree with shadow refuge! Its a waste. Def in against skilled ppl. They just aoe the crap out of both of you in it! Thats what I do.

Recorded some footage to showcase a new S/D build i made recently, i'm still getting used to it so expect some mistakes but i'm getting to it . I feel like it has a lot of potential tho. I made this with WvW in mind.

basicly combines the control / utility S/D gives + perma stealth from P/D. I might make a montage when i find time to record some more footage, enjoy !
