Daniel is a character who started in Guild Wars, and gotten more renown over the Wintersday editions. I don't know much about the character myself I must say, but the painting above started out as a wintery setting. Which he undoubtfully fits

You sure have an interesting Charr. Who knows
Here is a quick explorational sketch for a setting I got in mind for Aiyana Kes, the sylvari posted by Invertation on page 3. Not really happy with the colors yet, it needs more warm colors.

The sentiment is much appreciated Tommy!
Don't give up on him, I have a very special event coming up that is going to change the face of Guild Wars 2 / Guru and I would LOVE to use any art even the slightest bit related to him, even to the point of that landscape if you would allow it.
I love what you do and everyone here does.

About your last landscape, for example, how many brushes? I tried this speed way of drawing, but I always wonder if I need this particular brush for building, this other one for water, etc.

Can't wait to see it.
As regarding the brushes, think I used about 5 in this one. Almost everything is painted with 2 types of brushes, to lay down the base. Then I went on splattering texture on it with 3 other brushes, just creating some dirt and randomness. Then back to the 2 brushes, continue working on it, painting over the texture so it becomes a bit more random and you don't recognize the brushes in there
I'm making a selection of my brushes soon for someone, I'll hit you with the link as well.

I'm going to stay with my opinion that I should not be drawing Charr.
Anywhoooo, here is my attempt.

I quite like the colors, think it can be a lot stronger if I add some more details and give him a stronger pose. So perhaps I'll come back to it.
