A friend of mine was wondering whether or not it was the Combo Initiator or the Combo Finisher that influenced the damage that accompanies the projectile/blast/leap...

To be more clear, let's say my teammate, a Mesmer, casts Chaos Storm (an Ethereal Field). Then I shoot a few projectiles through his field, to add confusion to my attacks.

My question is as follows: Is the damage done by the confusion added to my attacks by a combo field that isn't my own, influenced by his Malice stat, or by mine?

By his, he puts it down, and you just use it, but his stats count.
