Hello everyone, I've been reading Guild Wars 2 Guru for quite a while now, I recently have created a primer for new players joining Beta Weekends. I would like to share this in order to help as many as possible and not just my own guild. Here is my attempt at a thanks to Guru bringing me up to date information on Guild Wars 2.

This guide was written with new players in mind along with the values of freedom in Guild Wars 2. Hopefully this will be useful to someone - thanks again Guru.

Given this a quick glance and it looks very well done. You have images and things labeled for new players. I'll give it a more thorough look as I can and point anything out odd that I see. Other then that I'll be bookmarking that to refer people ingame to your post/site.

Not being horrible to you
But if players need to use it they won't be very good at the game.

Personally, I think finding out those things for yourselves to be more fun.

I agree; this is very helpful. Although.. Pictures may mean a thousand words; but It would be alot easier to discover these things for yourselves.
Gives you a thrill; finding something that you didn't know about

So? Do players need to pass some competence test before they're allowed to play the game?
I played the last BWE but I didn't know this bit:
"-Every player can get all of their basic weapons for free if they go into the Mists and talk to the weapon vendor. This weapon can still be used in PvE."
So I've learned something and I'm not even new. Maybe that just means I'm not very good at GW2.

Good job. It is definitely useful. Hope someone stickies it for people who do not frequent Guru, who are the ones who actually need the info.

This is directed to players who want to read up a little before actually getting into the game - although there is the enjoyment of discovering things yourself, this will hopefully give the basics of enjoying the game aswell. One thing I noticed while my friends were playing is they didn't seem to know what to do in order to "have fun", I attributed this to the old MMORPG mindset that the game is on rails. This was to change that look on the game before they get into it. Anyways, just a little something I decided to do for the stress test event.
