They say they have added a mini dungeon, skill challenges, dynamic events, and even jump puzzles to the WvW maps. I think this is just what WvW need. Now when I am wondering around trying to find some team members to storm a capture point I can be having fun doing these things instead of just walking around wasting my time .
It is also another thing to distract others so while red team is doing a jumping puzzle I can storm there keep.

Yeah just what WvW needed - hundred players on battlefield doing jump puzzles and fighting for pointless reward in the dungeon instead of sieging the objectives for their realm

Perhaps it's quite the opposite.
What if it is for the "I just want to spend all my time in WvW" crowd so they can get their skill challenges done and duke it out with other players over a jump puzzle?

Good point. It would be nicer for each server to have its own dungeon and maybe even fanner going around defeat ting each server’s dungeon.

If you don't want to do it then by all means don't.
They way I see it, mostly "casuals" are gonna be doing these things anyways...and everyone seems to not want them in WvW "zerging and messing up the epic battlez". So everyone gets what they want.

They only added more servers for PVE.
They gave away tons of free keys.. so servers will be even more populated

My server had the problem of not having enough people.

Dungeon is great, gives you something else to do and Daoc had something like this that as I understand it rocked. Warhammers take on this was not done really well, but sometimes could be very fun.
Also remember it is beta, if this doesn't go over well they can take it back out, wasn't in there last time was it????
You Know You WANT IT!!

The article is referring to the beta but Mythic added even more jump puzzles after the release. I remember one stupid jump puzzle in particular in that Egyptian/Land of the Dead zone. I remember it because I was trying to get to a major PQ going on the north side of the map and I got stopped by another idiotic public quest that consisted of giant birds grabbing people off the road, lifting them up and dropping them onto nests that you had to jump down to get away. By the time I got down from the stupid thing the major PQ I wanted to do was over and I had missed the whole thing. Good job Mythic.
They had their chance and like so many of the old-school MMO developers, they have shown that they can't make a game that will survive in the current MMO market where quality is now a demand of customers.

First off, I'm all for all this.
Secondly, the jump puzzle my friends and I found, took us almost 2 hours I believe. It was really hard, and tricky. The puzzle actually tried to throw you off, wasn't always 100% we were doing the right thing. I loved it!
And it was in the WvW zone.

If the dynamic events actually interferred with wvwvw I might have a problem.

Stop and think. Adding more "pve" servers means adding more WvW servers.
If previous BWE had 45 servers (I didn't count) then it would've had 15 WvWvW matches going at once. 15 instances of Eternal Battlegrounds.
If next BWE were to have 90 servers, then it would have 30 WvWvW matches going at once. Also if each server has a little less people than last BWE then all 3 servers in a match-up will have a little less people queueing to Eternal Battlegrounds.
