Just uploaded a new video. What do you guys think of the commentary / slow motion effects? I dunno how to commentate properly without slowing the video down, there's just too much going on and things that are important that I notice.

I think your videos are awesome. The gameplay is great and the commentary is very helpful, keep up the good work!

To the OP - I left my Elementalist a ways behind, while working on my warrior (As I think Warriors look cool, and I <3 shout builds) but you've given me a bit more incentive to work on my Ele.
+1

Hope that the november patch wont mess up the playstyle too much and instead fix other classes disadvantages.

Showing Elementalist in mostly hot join with a few tPvP fights. All fights are either duels, coming back from health deficits or fighting outnumbered. The fights get progressively better during the video as I get progressively better.
I hope you enjoy! This was a three part learning project. I first learned how to play. Then learned how to edit. Third night was a combination of both as well as uploading. Advice on both playing and editing are appreciated! Expect more to come!

Glad I changed your ways =P
@Essa
Yeah I'm not really for the update either, it's most likely going hurt the elementalist and make me lose money on investments lol
Here's my newest video xD

That's 1 number too less to know which number is which trait tree ^^
I'd really be interested in your full build (with amulets, sigils, etc) too.

To my point, I'm really curious as how you are getting the same damage numbers as I am in your videos. I am specced 20 air/20 water/30 arcana and use a mix of berserkers gear and power/vitality/toughness gear and you (according to your thread) use all P/V/T gear and clerics jewelry, yet your still getting 6k hits on your churning earth and 5k on your firegrabs (same as I do). Now either I need to switch my gear as apparently I can be even more survivable than I am now and still do the same damage, or I dunno what....
I realized this after watching this video:
or this video where you hit someone for 7k (which I haven't seen yet on my own char):
Here are my stats so you can see the difference:
Stats:
Attack: 2740
Critical Chance: 34%
Critical Damage: 62%
Armor: 2042
Health: 15,355
Runes:
2x Water/ 2x Monk/ 2x Divinity
Head: AC - Power/Vitality/Toughness
Shoulder: Berserker - Power/Precision/Crit damage
Chest: AC - Power/Vitality/Toughness
Gloves: Berserker - Power/Precision/Crit damage
Pants: AC - Power/Vitality/Toughness
Boots: Berserker - Power/Precision/Crit damage
Daggers: Berserker - Power/Precision/Crit damage
Amulet: Berserker - Power/Precision/Crit damage
Earrings: Berserker - Power/Precision/Crit damage
Ring 1: Ouroboros Loop - Precision/Toughness/Condition damage
Ring 2: Lost Seal of Usoku - Power/Vitality/Toughness
Backpiece: Power/Vitality/Toughness

In the latest video, phoenix changed his build to 10/10/0/30/20, taking the cantrip use makes might stacks in fire, so he has more might stacks than a post-nerf ele would normally have.
Second, he uses consummables. I believe phoenix uses mango pies, which is more of a support thing, and maintenance oil, which gives something like an overall 10% of your vit/toughness as power (it's something like 4% vitality and 6% toughness, but they should be about the same, so it's effectively 10% of either, so around 150 bonus power). When big power spells like fire grab (when target is on fire) or churning earth crit, it's pretty spectacular.
But yes, that's generally the problem with ele. When specc'd for damage, we really don't do that much more than when we're specc'd for super tankyness like this build.

Edit: though, I'm not sure how I would get all the vigor for dodging since I would then have no crit....

Pheonix, it seemed like you were just intentionally charging through us to get us to chase you, as opposed to actually trying to fight anything. Were you using a different build? I could swear you were running armor of earth, but maybe it was just the tornado cancels. My guild was just cracking up how crazy you were and yet getting away more often than not
