The bank could use a "Withdraw All Gold’ or “Withdraw Max Gold” button. That or automatically withdraw all gold when you type a value higher than what you have in the bank.
Also, since I don’t see a way you can lose gold by dying or any other unfortunate, unanticipated event, I think Guild Wars 2 can support having a single gold pool across characters.
This saves time when transferring gold across characters (since you won’t have to, all gold gained on any character goes to a single pool shared across them). The bank can act as savings account of sorts for people who like to save up on the side. This will remove the hassle of having to log into various characters to move gold around to be able to buy an item.
Salvage Kits and Gathering Tools Should Not Be Soulbound
Crafting is something most people spread across characters. Having to buy a new salvage kit even though one is sitting right there in my bank is silly. Same for the tools like the pickaxe, scythe, and hatchet.
I was wondering what the reasoning was behind making them soulbound? I can’t help feel this just adds unneeded work, as I can just put the items I want to salvage in the bank, switch to the other character, and salvage it there. As for gathering, it’s just forcing you to buy new stacks while you throw away the souldbound ones that could have been nice hand-me-downs.
On another note, I believe you should be able to have items souldbound to another character in your inventory, but be unable to equip or use them. This would save some trouble if you needed some quick bank space or were planning on salvaging it on a different character. You should also be able to sell soulbound items to a vendor.
If anyone sees a downside to either of these, please feel free to let me know. Also, please leave a message if you support these ideas.
Thanks for your time!
