To start this is going to be a copy of my post from the gw2 forums (they allow more then 10 video links in a post). https://forum-en.gui...ge/1#post246112 and I am not quite done uploading all the videos yet.

Some notes for those that dont want to look through my list of pet stats.

Bears: All the bears did an average of 100 per hit and finished fights with 1/4 health or lower. They took an average of 40 seconds to kill with the exception of Arctodus at 28seconds with over 1/2 health. Their F2 skills took around 3 seconds to cast.
I feel that bears need to be a bit less tanky and do more damage to make up for their long kill time.

Birds: All the birds did an average of 120 x2 per hit and finished the fights with over 1/4 health. They all took 19 seconds to kill the target. Their F2 skills activated almost instantly with the exception of raven taking 3 seconds from screech recovery.
Birds are much better then BWE1 as they could not finish the target before dieing after 30 seconds. I feel they are perfect right now.

Devourers: All the devourers did an average of 70 x2 per hit and finished the fights with 1/4 health. They took 25 seconds to kill with the exception of whiptail taking 34 seconds. Their F2 skills took and average of 4 seconds to cast.
Devourers need a bit more AI work with the burrow and the knockback does not work depending on terrain.

Dogs: All did around 140 damage per hit and finished the fights with 1/4 health or less. Hyena had the fastest kill time and wolf had the slowest kill time. Their F2 skills took around 4 seconds to cast.
Dogs I am undecided if they should be more tanky or deal more damage to be similar to felines. I am a personal dog lover and I would love for them to do more damage so I can use dogs instead of cats.

Drakes: All did around 130 damage per hit and river drake finished the fight with over 1/4 health but Ice drake died at 30 seconds with the Moa at 1 health. Their F2 skills took around 6 seconds to fully cast.
Drakes need a bit more love. Their F2 skills are amazing but they die to quick.

Felines: All did around 130 damage per hit and to my suprise Snow Leopard finished the fight with over 3/4 health being the top of all the pets, Lynx was at 1/2 health. They took 17 seconds to kill their target. Their F2 skills took around 2 seconds to cast.
Felines are crazy damage dealers but die quickly if the target has cc or is very tanky unless your build is more pet based. I cant see much else to change with them since they are on par with birds right now(minus the condition damage).

Moas: All did around 110 damage per hit and finished the fight with around 1/4 health. They took around 33 seconds to kill their target making them the slowest damage dealing pets that dont quite have tank stats(a bit less vitality then bears for those that dont know). Their F2 skills were much faster this time around with an average of 3 seconds compared to the 5 seconds last BWE.
Moa are doing a bit better then the last BWE but I am not to sure what you guys plan to do with them. If they are to be a buff type pet then they need to have a bit more toughness to keep them in line with bears.

Spiders: Since there is only 1 Spider available i will only give my opinion. I feel they need more work, either reduce the cast time and increase the missile speed of the Poison Gas skill or increase the duration of immobilize from Entangling Web. Stat wise they do basically the same amount of damage as devourers but have less then half the survivability. Either increase the poison damage so they can kill and thus survive better or increase their vitality to be similar of devourers.

Hm very strange that its trying to link through the gw2 forums but replacing the links with fresh ones seems to fix the problem.

Anyone know how to post youtube files without them coming up as video boxes since it will not let me post more then 10 links in the post and with 24 pets this will get annoying.

I went with Snow Leopard and Bear for high DPS and then a tank. Good combo?

It works fine but as you can see by the time differences and health after fights bears dont bring much to the table other then providing an high health meatshield. The only time I ever used bears was in level 35 AC since the bosses in there are hitting 3-4k.. enough to 1 hit me as well as any squishy pet but bears were able to tank quite a few hits with timed heals.

My personal favorite is Lynx and Eagle for lots of condition damage and debuffs. Another good combo would be Snow Leopard and Owl for keeping your target chilled.

Hmm, it seems like cats are always higher dps pets than dogs, which sucks since dogs are > cats.

Anyways, while I was disappointed at first to see dogs behind cats in DPS here, I did notice that dogs do seem to have some good utility that may make them strong for PvP with their cripple and knockdown.

Personally, I'm drawn towards wolf and raven for utility (either go wolf for the knockdown/cripple/fear or raven for the speed/weaken/blind).  An on demand blind could be pretty good for PvP as long as it activates quickly.  

However, for a damage focused PvP build, I could even see going with snow leopard since they have the chill.

For PvE, it'll probably be a feline of some type, unless I need a bear to tank something during quest stuff.


OP: Thank you very much for making all these vids!  I know this must have taken a lot of time, but it's a great resource and you did an awesome job on making it clear and easy to use.  

I do have a question, however:  Since birds fly, do they use more direct pathing to get to enemies when you're above or below your enemy, such as when on a cliff?  If so, I could see that as being very advantageous situations such as when on a wall during a WvW and shooting at enemies below.

Yeah I really hope they make dogs a higher dps with a bit more tankiness; basically an do it all pet.

Sadly no birds still seem to have the same path finding problems that other pets have. I do hope in the future that something like this could be implemented.

Dogs in this game are specify as "Canine", but most of them are Wolf-like & Hyena is not even a dog species, they are more like a closer to the cat species.

Cats in this game are specify as "Feline", Feline can be refereed to smaller to bigger cats but in this game it's clearly Big cats such as Jaguar or Leopard, obviously they are more fierce looking, they pack a power on it's own.

Conclusion:
Dogs should have faster attack speed while Cats should have higher power.
