I hope some of you may be able to get a bit of a better idea of what the class is all about.

Here are a few ground rules to follow as you post here:
- Don't post videos without a description. Just linking or embedding is annoying and unhelpful for people reading the thread. We don't want to watch every video just to learn what they're about!
- Try and keep the videos coming. While critique and discussion is obviously encouraged, I'd much prefer it if we didn't spend ten pages without a single video in sight. Obviously this rule will be a little laxer in times when we haven't had a BWE for a while.
- Don't post videos by other active Guru members. If you're posting a video by somebody who is not on Guru, or is no longer active, please give credit for the video and, if possible, a link as to where you got it from.

Playing a burst build, role i took in this match was harrasing, slowing down and killing enemy players to give my team more freedom to cap points. Build info can be found in this post in another thread:

More videos coming in next few days. Enjoy.

For a while i used signet of the wild which because of the beastmaster trait gave me a stability buff, very nice counter to the warrior GS/Axe build thats flying around as it means the ranger has 2 stability skills (this and elite) and swiftness up nearly all the time so it makes it hard for them to lock you down to get the combo off.
Muddy Terrain is a skill i didnt get to try but looks nice, could be combined with barrage very well. Also seeing as a key role i had in mind with this build is harrasment and distration to slow down the other team that works well. Also any skill that can be used for offence or defence is always good.
Signet of renewal, this seemed good on paper but didnt seem to work very well in combat, your pet should pull condtions onto itself from nearby allies, which is great as it gives condition removal which is the thing most lacking from this build but everytime i needed it i think my pet must have been to far away or something because it didnt seem to work, either that or its bugging with the beastmaster trait, dont know it seemed to not work well so i removed it but if it worked this would be great. I didnt test extensivly as i only had limited time to play.
There are apparently 3 more utility skills in the works for the ranger so have to see what they are in the future.

Yea instead of sharpening stone I might add muddy terrain or frozen terrain w/e. It adds survivability and allows me to focus even more on offense, I kinda want the 10% damage while flanking trait alot because thats 10% damage and if Im not mistaken 5% crit damage just from those 5 points into the trait that adds 5 crit. thats 15% from just that but I hear strength of spirit is great and adds alot of damage. That and my pet gaining all my boons looks promising as well.

Please ignore the epic failure that was my first fight in this match, i promise it gets better!
Pretty much the same build as the first video apart from im using Signet of Renewal instead of Sharpening Stone. I think a couple of traits might have been diferent to.
Edit 1: Also currently redering a commentary version of my earlier video. Its my first commentary but ill link it on here when its up
Edit 2: And here is the new video:
Feedback on the commentary would be great if anyone is willing to take the time

Things change drastically during testing. Look at Thiefs/Warriors between BWE1 and BWE 2.

Then he's doing a great job of highlighting the potential balance issues for ArenaNet to chase up.
The more of these kinds of builds come to light, the more the classes can be tweaked and balanced pre-launch.
I for one applaud the people hunting for exploits. They're the ones who are going to make the launch great.

Shock and AWE tactics.
My build was all around survivability. I seen the red aoe circles, but didn't care, it never hurt me as bad as me slicing them up. Plus me standing there, forced them to kite me out of thier aoe.
Rangers OP? No! Playing smart will always win the day.
EDIT: Fear the player not the class

That isn't reallydirected at you, you're just the guinea pig for which I express my irritation.

Also worth noting that the people he was facing in the video were awful. You gotta look at what the player is doing as well as his opponent. I saw very few weapon swaps, people just auto attacking their melee while he was at range (not using CC to gap close, or literally just standing there swinging a weapon) and not a lot of optimal skill rotation.
Personally I don't think this video is hard evidence of anything.
