Curious about what kind of skill and trait changes happened between April's BWE and June's? Well, we just happen to have that info too!

Note: We are aware that DoT effects don't show the correct damage so please refrain from bug reporting it.

Well done! It will be nice having a skill calculator that gets updated and not forgotten.

That's all pretty awesome indeed!

The skill calculator feels a bit unruly though. It's all functional, just feels a bit sluggish. I really feel gw2builds.org got it the best, too bad it isn't up to date. One wee little tiny itsy-bitsy request though... could you do without the text shadow on dropdowns in the skill calculator? It just mucks the readability up.

@Juno:we will be working on speed improvements as times go on. Ill admit it is a tad slow, but was working alot faster in dev so we'll be investigating why. And i agree about the text shadow, we'll get those removed too

Is it possible that you guys can make it so we can look at the traits without actually adding points into that trait line?
Kind of a hassle to try and look at the minor/major traits then having to undo all the points again.

I guess the two versions of stats that pop up when you mouse over the skill links are before/after patch changes. Mind clarifying which is which? Cheers

Nicely done, but it seems with this update a major forum bug broke out for me. Everytime I open any thread in any forum, ALL threads in all forums are marked as read. Kinda makes browsing the forums for new information pretty hard :/

Quick question. I was looking over the changes to the Guardian skills and noticed a skill called "Save Yourselves!" which I did not notice in the game. When I looked it up in the Guild Wars 2 Wiki I found that the page said:

This page contains information about a Guild Wars 2 component or feature that has been removed or replaced. The information on this page does not apply to the game as it currently exists.

Is this a skill that has been added/updated and the wiki has not updated their information?

Thank you. I actually tried posting that on the Site/Forums Support forums, but apparently some moderator denied posting it for some strange reason.

lethality: will test it out and see what we can do to fix it
gabriel: this is more than likely an old skill, that for some reason was still showing as available, we will look into making sure its not shown in the regular profession listing

Awesome, all it needs is shift click things in the calculator to go to their database page (or better yet, the wiki since it has more links and information), allow us to change professions in the calculator instead having to go to another page, and make it so that when selecting a major trait you can stop without having to pick a new trait.

In the skill calculator, longbows are called long bows and shortbows are called short bows.

Not to sound ungrateful cause I appreciate all the hard work but is there a way to implement a calculator that would total the armor, hp, crit chance, etc... http://www.gw2build....s/simulator.php has a decent one but it does not take into account Master/Grandmaster Traits (i.e. Scepter Power which increases scepter damage by 5%), runes, and sigils. I played around with it but when I added a Sigil of Superior Accuracy which adds 5% Crit Chance but no change on the stats. Also, can passive effects from signets be worked in (i.e. Bane Signet improves Power which raises attack damage or Signet of Mercy which improves Healing). Not sure if the other site is still working on their calculator but it will be nice if there was a fully functional one.

@gabriel: while the idea of a builder that takes into account items and equipment and runes and such and calculates stats is a cool one, we still dont fully know all of the calculations for the item stats, much less the skill stats and how they interact. If we were to do such a huge feature itd be something thatd take quite a bit of time, and we wouldnt rush it out until it was perfect.

@mbelcikuwh: yes unfortunately there is a formula that determines weapon damage and stats at a certain level and rarity, and we are still working through that formula, which is why damage and defense seem the same on items and stats have decimal values. As we get more time in game to analyze the data and get in game examples, we hope to bring near perfect calculations(like how we added damage calculations into spells for level 80 chars)
