Pretty good use of portal but doesn't really prove that we aren't weak right now. I would have loved to see how that 1v1 fight went had the other Warrior not come into play. I do like how he used the GS most of the time instead of relying on the iDuelist like most other videos recently. The thing that made me sigh was seeing all those 0's appearing for damage; wasn't invulnerable, but flat out 0 damage, even with crits and on different enemies during different encounters. Pretty discouraging thing to see imo.
Since I personally and sticking with Mesmer I seriously hope that gets addressed.

I would have liked to see him switch to 1H sword when in melee range--that would have been really impressive

Meh, one decent portal in a pug match. He didn't suck, but it doesn't prove anything. Who cares if he had pistol in his OH? He didn't have the haste trait so it wasn't remotely overpowered. It's not like mesmer can't do well anyways, just that it seems to take a little more effort to do so, not to mention drastic changes make people cry until they adapt.

The video doesnt prove anything. All i see is team effort. The blue team is good. Not the mesmer class.
Greatsword sucks no matter how you spin it. The ranger did most of the work in the 2v2 fight at the mine.

Whos saying that mesmers are weak? My teammate whos class is mesmers was loling whole weekend how OP he is and was saying its definetly getting nerfed and whats hes saying, that he doesnt feel squishy. Only problem was that he was bored by sunday cause he was playing phantasm build so phantasms did all the killing.

he was playing a bugged build

The pistol in the OH (again) was what made me not really care whether he switched or not.

From my experience, Mesmers are not weak.
What they ARE, is a class that takes a lot of practice. It take skill to play a Mesmer well. They are not a straight forward profession like a Warrior, or even Elementalist. You have to think very strategicly to be truely effective with a Mesmer, understand their skills and how to use them.

Mesmer's are certainly weak and the devs have acknowledge that in the official forums.
There are basically 3 types of Mesmers ... Condition-based, Shatter-based, and Phantasm-based. The only one that was somewhat competitive in the last build was Phantasm with the bug haste trait. Condition-based builds have not been viable since BWE1 with the scepter change. BWE2 practically gutted the Shatter-based Mesmers in regards to trait changes, clone nerfs, and the Mind Wreck nerf.
BWE3 will be the deciding factor for me with this class, but since the devs came out and said that they are aware of the issues I still have hope.
