so was reading over the wiki of some skills, (didnt get to play during stress test) Zealot's Embrace Posted Image 18
Send a wave toward your foe that immobilizes enemies in a line.

so from what the wiki is telling me the chains it sends out immo my target and anyone in my path? if this is true then I like the hammer even more

Yes it is a small cone in front that goes for a good distance and can hit multiple targets. The issue is it only goes in a straight line, so its easily avoidable unless they are standing still or you use some sort of cc like a kd.

I wish they would shorten the distance and widen the cone

Ah I see, I think it would be acceptable to make it a 900 range with a wider cone

The range on the cone is mostly a PvE control thing anyway.  I think it's probably meant so you can chain it after Banish to push enemies off alies and lock them down long enough to block them and draw aggro back to yourself.

It is not a cone it is basically a straight line the width of your character model, very easily avoided and slow moving. It should be a cone, but thats my 2cents

True that, a small strafe is often all that is needed. Hammer is close, but not quite there yet.

I fairly limited cone with 700 range would be more balanced. Using it to immob more then 1 target would make it a very viable choice.

This & the cone is not only very small but it moves slower then many other projectiles & does not hone in on targets.


Frankly I would prefer if either

1: The effect was instant but effected only 1 target like the scepter skill chains of light.
or
2: The cone was spread out but made into a sharter range skill.

(Also I'm sure most players would love to see several of the hammer skills spead up considerably, skills like 1, 4 & 5)

Agree, a better cone and less distance would make the utility much better, esp if you could hit 2-3 ppl in the cone.

i did watch azshene use it, and he was able to hit a guy on ground level from atop the clock tower in khylo at quite a distance which was very interesting.

atm you just have to either use it after a kd, on a unsuspecting opponent, or with great timing. such as when they are coming up hill to cap the point or during some sort of movement based skill towards you.

honestly the only thing i want sped up is the 1 chain and not by too much, the charge ups sort of make it more skill based since you have to time everything.
