Does anyone know if it is possible to send Gems as gifts to another player ?

If i bought 3,000 gems and want to give 1,000 to my friend is it possible ?

I don't believe so, but you could sell the gems in the Trading Post, mail the gold to your friend as a gift, and then he could buy gems from the Trading Post.

na you'll lose money that way...

some items can be "gifted" when you buy, altho that feature was not working in betas afaik

I saw the 'Gift' option at nearly every item in the cash shop, although the feature was not available in the BWE's. This basically means you can buy any item the person needs instead of giving them the gems to do so.

(Come to think of it, nice thing for giveaways)

Reason why i was asking is because if one of my friends are on another server and they want to transfer to come and play with me and my friends in WvW but they cant afford the gems i can just pay for it for them.

They will be able to pick a new server at launch, so they wont need gems to transfer then.
