During BWE2 I tried to mail an item to another character and was told that I couldn't send mail to myself.  That being said, how do you go about transferring gold, materials, armor, etc. to other characters on your account?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm guessing you put it in your bank then change characters and take it out of your bank.

Yep, you can do simply that.

Oh ok.  I wasn't aware that all characters shared the same bank.  That actually works out a lot better in my opinion.

I would prefer being able to mail to my other characters. But eh. I understand that with mail being available from anywhere in the world, it could complicate things.

I just tried mailing something and got the you cannot mail items to yourself message. Great if I want to spend time trying to find a bank. Then port form wherever that char might be and get it and port back.

Yea not tons of time but it is time non the less. I spent 20 min looking for a bank in one of the cities to no avail.

You cannot mail items to other characters on the same account....and yes, accessing the bank shared by all toons on your account is the only way to move things between characters.  That said, were you already aware that crafting materials (ore, cooking items, etc.) can be sent directly to your bank from anywhere?  There is a button in the upper right corner of your inventory window that gives the option to "deposit all collectibles".  You can also now access the bank from any crafting station, so you don't necessarily need to find the bank to access.  Once the bank window is up at the crafting station, you can actually also deposit non-crafting mats and other items into the bank from your bags there as well...including money.

If they were to allow mailing to yourself, you'd have, in practice, infinite bank space that way. I suppose this could still be the case if you were to purchase the game twice and use one account as the 'bank' for the other.

Could easily be solved by allowing us to mail one item per every 24 hours to our characters. That way if you just wanna send a hammer you found to your warrior without having to go back to town you can do that and it won't be abuseable.
