I really hope they are not ( cause i want to be surprised with slyvari! ) but then again those starting areas are completely untested, and they don't want to be on release day and have a bunch of problems with the Pale Tree and Rata Sum.

On the other hand though if you look at the map of tyria and look at where their home cities are, it is on the opposite side of the map, so would they let you walk there? they would have to open up a huge chunk to be accessed and it could be high level content that 1. Noone can go through, or 2. They want to keep you guessing.

They could always let you use only the Asura gates but i doubt it.

But with ArenaNet ... Anything can happen.

There's been no official word on this yet. Also, there's already been a few topics about this. Keep an eye on the GW2 official site and twitter, that's where we'll find out.

Not really true. You know they have been running closed testing of the game for a long time now, right? Just because those areas have not been in any BWE, it doesn't mean they have not been tested/are being tested.

This is the best GW2 map I've found. Ignore all the GW1 locations all over it. Start at Divinity's Reach. Directly south of that is Queensdale, south of that is Kessex Hills. Both of which are zones we had access to.

Now note that the only other zones we need access to in order to walk to Rata Sum or The Grove are two zones, one being the only zone connected directly to Rata Sum, the other to The Grove. Those look like starter areas to me.

So all ANET needs to do to let us walk to The Grove or Rata Sum is to give us access to the Asura and Sylvari starter zones.

I hope they are. I'd love to play around with the apperances so I have an idea what my final Sylvari will look like.

That, and if they wait till launch for Asura and Sylvari, then you know those areas will be packed because people will be creating characters just to see what they are like.

My guess is that if they did include the Asura/Sylvari in BWE 3, they would probably do it by wiping our beta characters, closing most of the eastern side of the map and locking out Norn/Human/Charr.

But I agree that its unlikely we'll see the last two races prior to launch. Anet wouldn't have announced a release date if they weren't quite confident in their state of readiness.

At this time, we can't give a definite answer, all we can do is speculate as to whether Sylvari and/or Asura will be included int the next beta weekend. Due to this, I'm going to have to close this thread - as Q&A is not the place for speculation and discussion. We do have threads discussing this in Tyrian Assembly, I suggest you use them if you want to discuss/speculate on this.

So, release coming soon. Still no first person camera, emotes or testing of Sylvari & Asura?
