(I would do a poll, but I can't figure out how!)

I'm curious which worlds players (and guilds) in Europe who's primary choice of language in game is English will be rolling on for BWE3 and live.  I've have noticed the pinned article referring to which guilds and gaming communities are going to which server, but I was more interested in getting a gauge on what the general population is doing.

I was hoping to find a world that has a medium population, hopefully quite a few casual adult guilds... but I only speak English (and probably not too well).

If you're an English speaker in the EU, shout out what world you are rolling on!

My guild will be rolling on Vabbi for BWE3, also with the hopes of finding a mainly english speaking community with medium population. It looks like a good choice to me, when wanting to avoid the most heavily populated servers, and those that have been claimed as "unofficial <insert language>" servers.

I'm sorry if this message comes across as negative, I really don't mean to antagonize anybody but I can't be the only one who thinks having finnish, dutch, polish, austrian and even slovene guilds knowingly pick the primary and secondary uk servers kinda defeats the purpose of this list, can I?

I'm only asking this because I've had some pretty bad experiences with multi-lingual servers in the past, where general chat would be filled with half a dozen different languages making it uncomprehensible and I've been looking for a list like this one specifically to avoid such a situation from happening in guild wars 2.

So what do you think guys? Am I wrong to hope for a stricly english speaking EU server for launch?

I'm thinking of joining one of these servers. I'm not really worrying about unofficial servers for languages or roleplay because it seems if I did I would only have two servers to choose from. So I'm just going for what I like the sound of and also isn't an official language server.

Right now I'm probably leaning the most towards Piken Square. Boreal Station sounds nice too though. Hopefully with the lower amount of servers we'll be less likely to have ghost town servers now.

I was in Gandara in the last beta but only really because it had a high population, not because I liked the name.

Most of the servers in that list will have another countrys communitys, like portuguese or greeks or another language most people wont understand.

Probably only 4 of those servers will be UK populated, and by the looks of it every server will be full (this means you will face queues in any server).

I will probably stick to one of the UK servers, since there are a bunch of "unofficial" servers for other countries which, based on other MMOs will mean a server full of no English speaking in chat. I'm not going to risk having to pay 1800 gems (£25!!) to avoid this.

I really, really hope Anet addresses this at some point to prevent new players from selecting a home server that turns out to be one of these "unofficial" language servers.

My guild is still undecided I just sent them the link but our facebook page is full of, "It doesn't matter whichever ones you guys want" which is why my guild is so relaxed and cool. Most of us love WvW but there a good portion that love role playing and not really into pvp. Any suggestions for an NA server?

It is undecided for my part but I will avoid Far Shiverpeaks like the plague.
I personally can't stand swedish people unless they don't spam the guild chat with nonsense all day and act mature which rarely happens. <.<

I'll probably have to go with Desolation or Gandara as I don't like 'unofficial language/country' servers. Last thing I'd want is a chat window filled with all kinds of different languages. And even though I'm Dutch, I don't like reading/writing/talking in dutch either nor join a mainly Dutch guild (and they usually have stupid guild names too).

So I'm aiming for a server where the main language is english. As to which guild I might wish to join, that depends on the guild's vision and name.
