This is stunning. I've yet to play the game at all, but I want my male Sylvari Guardian to use some yellows/golds/tans with deep reds, as it's a combination I love. Seeing this makes me think that the golden skin base is definitely viable and still looks appealing. That said, though, I also love Hirsty's dark brown and purple guardian, and having seen a lot of character creation videos, I love the bright blue bio-luminescence.

My inner creator wept in both joy and despair seeing how vast and varied the Sylvari's options were. I was at a loss starting out, but as I began to get a feel for what I wanted I came up with this fey trickster here:



Mischievous, no? She smiles really broadly. At first, it frightened me and tempted me into re-rolling, but it grew on me. Also she happened to be a Necromancer and I got hooked on the class. Incidentally, my second attempt wound up looking a lot darker, this one a Mesmer:



I liked these both so much I kept note of the options for when the real deal goes live. Incidentally, I found the Necromancer's personal story to be one of the best ones so far. (If you're curious, I determined her to be of the Cycle of Dusk, with a dream of a Green Knight.)

I want to lastly add here that the subtle glowing effect absolutely mesmerized me. Really gives the Sylvari this otherworldly, exotic rainforest flora look that is equal parts beauty and organic.

Thanks! She does, doesn't she? I have a feeling I'm gonna end up with more Sylvari than anything else, which was completely not my intention. I didn't even expect to have one before this weekend, haha.

I made a few, top left is going to be my main, top right is most likely my second alt, whilst ill be making a girl as my main alt-but i still havent decided how ill design her, i was thinking during the bwe that id do something like the two i put on that pic, but lately ive been thinking i might go for a mid to dark purple skin, with black 'hair' and a purple glow instead since i think shell be a necro.

Really like their character customisation, but admit it would be a bit daunting for someone going into it without a clear idea in their mind xD

I loved the variety of color. I think the mix between earthtone base colors and exotic tropical plant and flower colors makes some unique combinations. You can either go in the direction of being as human looking as you want in face/hair skin color or go to the more extreme measure.

Wow - the Sylvari look really varied and impressive! I was going to make a female Mesmer as one of my first characters (others being a male human Guardian, male Charr Warrior and female Norn Elementalist), but now it seems I'll have to make more!

Both of them are super charming.  You really got the talent.

The color options for the sylvari are really lovely . My Sylvari is going to be a Necromancer, so i opted for a rather dark, colourless skin tone and contrasted it with that bright yellow/green hair style. I really love the first male sylvari by Darkmarauder! Very awesome!



I think she will look awesome in her armor sets .

My necromancer/thief, thief has bright red bio-luminescence but forgot to take a picture of it. couldn't settle on a nice bio-luminescence for the necro yet

White on white. I noticed that, in human lands, when I was in armor that hid his arms, people would assume he was human (just at a glance) before doing a doubletake.

I had so much fun going through the creator picking out the colors I wanted to use. I spent all of Friday remaking my thief and trying new colors. I just love how many choices you can make.

I was all over the color wheel to begin with, but now I'm pretty settled for green and orange as my thief's main colors. The eyes are still giving me a problem, I can't decide between all black and orange. I like the black because it gives her that bit of bug I wanted (I wish the face I'm using had antennae like that male face /sigh). I like orange because the glow on the Sylvari is awesome and I feel like I'm missing out by not picking an eye that glows.

At the start of the weekend i tryed out some different Sylvaries, but I didn't really liked their skin colour though. But after spending 30 min in the character creation and after finding inspiration by looking at the Sylvaries in The Grove, I came up with this look for my female Sylvari. I absolutly love it

I found several different combinations I liked, but the one I'm leaning towards for my necro looks similar to what Sura posted, except the hair will be the light silvery/green shade instead of yellow green. I made an all silver/white/very pale green toned one and thought it looked rather nice too.

I wanted something different so I tried light blue skin and red hair/accents with I believe azure lightning in the hair and skin.

My Mesmer. Unfortunately I don't seem to have any screenshots where her pink glow shows. Anyways, I was totally amazed by the amount of colour options we had and I spend quite a lot of time just testing different combinations. I just wish there was a couple more haircolour options in the creator as it was lacking a nice medium-light pink :3

Here is my Sylvari. At first I was trying to go for a purple-green look (like the "Wandering Jew" plant), but I ended up with more for a Hawaiian Ti Plant for the hair:



Sadly I did not see many light purple sylvari running around. After viewing all of the photos in this thread, I don't know if i should choose light purple skin or the lovely white/silver skin!

I really like the paler colors, especially just the pale green. I think it's simple and pretty.
