Sorely disappointed by norn light female t2 + t3

Norn light armour was some of the most fantastic armour in gw1, but they completely *ed it up this time around.

Can you use the transmutation stone in order to bring another racial armor's aesthetic onto your piece of gear?

I quite like the tier 1 light armor for humans.

I think tier 1 is sufficient, but I still think it looks more like a starter armor to me, rather than an armor that's reflective of the human race....but there are other armors and I've already spotted a dungeon one I've love to have.

Tier 2 again is nice in itself, just disappointed it's a racial armor...rather than a low level karma armor or something, and that weird shawl thing they wear is just not nice to my eyes at all.

Your question on the transmutation of other racial armor appearances is a good one.....and one I'd be interested to know myself. It would sort of defeat the purpose of having racial armors if you could do that though.

No. If you are asura and you go to the grove you won't even be able to see their racial armor. The merchant will tell you you need to be a sylvari.

I love the asuran tier 3 light armor, but I agree the light armor of the charr are just amazing.  I wish those skins were used for the medium for the charr.

I like the T1 and T2 human sets. I actually like T1 for medium more than T2. Not so much on the T3. I don't want my ranger to show off her underboob .

T1 and T2 are realistic and tasteful. They likely will dye nicely to show off the detail.

Unfortunately, I don't.  The wiki doesn't have a lot of the armors listed, because there hasn't been a concerted effort to document them all (and where to get them).  I expect that to happen not too long after release, but I expect that you would have created your characters by then.

My deduction that it is non-race specific armor is solely because it is not one of the armors listed in the human cultural sets, despite being the one used for showing off a 'high-level human necromancer' during character selection.  The other races use other armors for that preview, but that doesn't mean that they can't wear the one that is shown during human character creation.

My advice would be to create the race that you want to create, and worry about the armor later.  If you would rather play norn, but aren't sure about the armors you've seen, you'll probably find a different set of armor that interests you just as much or more than the first armor you were interested in.

If you happen to want to play a human, well there are no worries, then.

just for info, don't know if someone has already ask that type of question but, is possible, for example. for a sylvary to have the apparence of the armor of human by using a trasmutation stone?

conflicted on what to roll.

the heavy armor looks best in my opinion.

i'm torn between charr t3 and human t3 heavy.

all the sylvari armor is fugly, shame i really wanted to play a sylvari, well, there are a few non-racial sets i like.

but yeah, that charr t3 heavy looks br00tal!

Also I wonder if anyone took screenshots of every PVP armor for every race/gender like these topics. I did a few but couldn't do it for every race and gender. Among many other armors I've found the following ones too:

I'm afraid I only have pictures of female sylvari and male asura wearing the armors of the 3 orders, but random screenshots are floating around the internet (specifically here: http://imgur.com/a/MK9Q1#65 ) and according to these screenies we can easily identify other races wearing the same armor. So how do you get these armors from the three orders? Is this something like a reputation system?

As you progress in your personal storyline, you will get to a point where you can join one of the 3 orders on your character. Only members of a specific order can get their armors - as far as I know.

Thanks, Baktwerel. I seriously hope you can get the armors of all the orders eventually, like you could get both Kurzick and Luxon armors in GW1. I don't like this exclusivity thing going on in GW2, I really like both Vigil and Whispers light armors and I was actually looking forward to combining them ;_;

You are welcome! Frankly I'd love to get all of them too on one character but it gives me the impression that you can only get the one your character is part of. Maybe if we finish the storyline or anytime in PVP we could possibly get the other order's armors we are not part of (on that character), or at least I hope so.

It might still be possible. I saw an NPC wearing a combo (Durmand Priory and Vigil heavy set) during BWE3. I didn't check and see if he was still there during the stress test though.
