According to the Wiki, Guild Tags weren't necessarily unique in GW1, meaning different guilds could have the same Guild Tag.
Is this true for GW2 as well?

no, guild tags are not unique, only the guild name
Also tagged with one or more of these keywords: guild, unique, tag
