This is a translated version of the article that the dutch magazine PCGamePlay published in their July/August issue.  Being one of the Dutchmen of GuildMag myself I got my hands on it and  translated it (EDIT: Wow 5 hours, that took longer than I thought!)  for  your reading pleasure. There will most likely be some spelling errors  in it, I apologize for that. But heck, I'll beat Google translate  anytime! Wall of text... engage!

the salvage system from Eye of the North will be turned into a vast craftingsystem with plenty of capabilities

I'm guessing this just refers to the salvaging system of guild wars I, or is there some EotN feature I missed?

Hmmm good point.  Maybe they mentioned it only becuase it was the last one to come out? I don't think there is anything different from that and Nightfall though.

"The Warrior skills Sever Artery and Gash spill blood in all directions..."

The article actually said that?  That's a bit deceiving when it makes it sound as if they have AoC-ish type of blood and gore effects splattering all over the screen.  Conversations here to include Martin's comments have cleared up thoughts of blood spray and all that.

By the way, "L’enfer, ce n’est pas les autres" means "hell is not the others" .... as opposed to what Jean-Paul Sartre  said.

Sounds like it was probably misinformed over exageration or something.

Unless anet changed their mind over the past week and decided to make the game M rated. (which I doubt)

Sounds like a misguided writer...

Fantastic work, Jonny :D

The part about the Skritt capital, and that chain of events just had me wowed!

Awesome work, mate! Thanks for translating the article. :) Though, it says everything of which we know of... but still, it's always good to read something about GW2. :D

Quote

This city alone has 30 different event chains of which you can be part of and Guild Wars 2 will offer thousands of these events. Sounds pretty awesome huh?

Mhm... this piece of information wasn't in the MMORPG.com article about the Skirtt village event. Well, at least not the particular number of event chains.

Quote

The Warrior is a close combat tank

Not the tank word again... mhm... well, warriors can actually choose not to be "tanks", and focus on ranged damage with the longbow.

Quote

The Warrior skills Sever Artery and Gash spill blood in all directions and the way the Warrior rushes into things make you think of a mad bull.

Not blood, but red hit effects. :D ArenaNet is aiming for the teen raiting.

Anyway... nothing new. :D

They keep saying that the fix first five skills is so that players won't go into the game with bad build.

But ARENANETl, do you know what is fun playing Guild Wars 1 for me. Every aspect of it, including starting out as a noobie necromancer, using an axe and a shield, wandering why i wasn't doing any damage, and then eventually finding out that I have to use different skills combination .... you are taking that away .... /sigh .... Stop talking about it already, its not your best feature in the game ....

dank u Johny
