Do you guys think there is a Race that will be best for warrior?

im thinkin about playing a CHARR warrior.  you think they make me too big of a target?

what pros and cons do you guys think about charr warrior?

any help is appreciated

Pick what you want to look like, and play that. Any of the extremely minor benefits you might experience in WvW or PvE over the long-term, due to the selection of a particular race, will mean very little if you can't stand looking at your character or watching it move for 80+ levels.

there will be no statistical benefit for any race. I suppose if you choose a small asura, you can escape the attention of bad players and some average players in PvP, but it's not gonna work against top tier players.

Asura.  In a game where you have no cast bars and rely on animations, of course the smallest character model is going to have an advantage.

Asura has a huge advantage, but I don't care and always pick the race which suits me best. In almost every game I play a human that looks like me, but there is a small chance that I will play a sylvari since I find them to be very kind hearted, good natured people and that is appealing to me.

I don't think they have a huge advantage.  Initial advantage probably, but it won't last long.  Just pick whatever you like.  Also the Sylvari... they aren't necessarily kind hearted.  Their morals... are different.   In an awesome way.   I'm totally playing one.

Charr or Norn, i'm still deciding between those two, but i might end up with a Norn cause i want to play as a Berserker

Charr/Norn seem to be the most warrior like races. In reality though I will find it more interesting if I was running around GW2 and saw an Asura Warrior whacking fellows around with a hammer.

I'm leaning toward a tall male Asura (tall to get around the smaller scaled gear problem), gotta love their animations and the race overall, and knocking the taller races over with my tiny Hammer is just great fun

Others I would consider are Female Sylvari and Female Charr, Norn and Human just don't appeal to me I guess....

I think people have mentioned that by using a small asura, your opponents can't read your attacks as easily, without a lot of squinting. Also, your name plate is a lot lower due to the height.

Figures competitive PvP might turn into asura midget fest.

in structured pvp, in tournaments, the current plans are for 5v5 meaning that in most encounters you might have a 3v3 at most... in that scenario I doubt what race you are matters that much, the profession is much more important when deciding on a target

All you have to do is turn on show enemy names in the options menu and you get a big display above any enemy when they are trying to hide in a bush or behind a rock..(ahem Asura!) It makes them much more visual.
Also I do not like they was gear is displayed on smaller characters, full armor with weapons drawn imo look far better on bigger modules than smaller ones...Bigger is better and remember you are the one going to be looking at your character the most.

Consider that there are also situations where you want to be the target, to draw attention away from your comrades. This is where being bigger and more imposing is an advantage.

I was originally stuck between choosing warrior, ranger or engineer but the sylvari racial skills really solve that problem.

I can play a sylvari warrior while still having access to turrets and a pet summon. I'm sold on the sylvari:) Their racial skills will just be great if we're still allowed them in WvW. I'm looking at you grasping vines.

I'm sold on Human.  I'm totally torn between male vs. female though.  

I really like the female Greatsword animations more, particularly how the female characters drag the sword behind them.  The males seem to carry it around like a baseball bat.  Just not sure I want to be a female warrior though.  Any thoughts?

I found they stuck out like a sore thumb too since they are a lot shorter than most.

Since most skill that affect allies will affect you i assume it will.
Example: Spirit from Rangers, Traits that apply regen when Banner are summon from Warriors, Toss Elixir from Engineers. All these state it affect allies near you but in-fact it affect you as well.

Problem is most tooltip is not accurate or does not explain clearly what the skill does.

I think a Norn and Human Warrior would be ideal.  The Norn gets the Animal racial skills while Human picking Balthazar gets the dual fire hounds skill.

The more I look the more I think I am going human. Charr and Norm you would think should be the choice for warrior but have no skills to support it. Sylvari have Take Root and Grasping Vines. Humans have the 3 Prayers Dwayna, Kormir and Lyssa.
You must keep mind whatever race you choose, you will spend a lot of time gazing at its but.

I dun think Human utilities are useful, you can't use them in PvP, in WvW, Prayer to Kormir removes 3 condition, but since it's WvW you will not be attack be single enemy, even if you remove 3 condition it will keep coming.

Does battle roar proc vigorous shouts?  I dont know if anyone got lvl 40 last beta to test.
