Does battle roar proc vigorous shouts?  I dont know if anyone got lvl 40 last beta to test.

From what I heard, racial skill is not affected by Traits, otherwise people might go for specify race causing population issue.

Remember, racial skills are available in WvW, so personally I think they are a factor in choosing your playstyle. The chat racials around burning, for example, have an obvious synergy with a longbow warrior (+10% dmg against burning foes)

I can't see why not, even if it is a racial skill it is still a shout.

Well if you think about Charr's Shrapnel Mine (Trap) which is already ground targeted & Ranger's trait Trapper Expertise which also makes Traps ground targeted they overlap.

If Charr's Battle Roar is a Shout and affected by Trait, then all Warriors will roll Charr as it gives more support if trait with vigorous shouts, you can heal 3 times including For the Great Justice & Shake it Off since all this are low in CD.

Further more Battle Roar will replace For the Great Justice because Battle Roar gives more seconds on Fury.

I think Racial skill should be typeless or not affected by traits, anyway idk if what they categorize racial skill as since when you look at the wiki, none of the racial skill are categorize.

Hmm, very interesting. I guess we will see what they decide do at launch.

You must keep mind whatever race you choose, you will spend a lot of time gazing at its butt.
Which is why Charr doesnt work. The tail is too distracting :(

Warrior is one of the classes I just cant figure out the race for either. Asura are small and I like the animations, but at the same time I dont like their heavy armour. Norn are tall and I like their armour style but there's really else nothing going for it. Charr are cool but like with the Asura I dont really appreciate their heavy armour. Human and Sylvari I know where to place and it aint Warrior.

Guess its going to be Norn in the end, for the armour style. And that giant butt.

Norn woman. Hands down. :)

That's the best butt to watch at if you're to look at backside of char anyways.

Battle Roar states allies does that include you?

Yes, Battle Roar does indeed boost the caster of the ability.  While I thought otherwise from the tool tip description, playtesting showed its value.  Teams of x2 Charr would use it in PvE to permanently chain up the Fury buff.  Or a Warrior could simply play solo and combine this with For Great Justice for 23 seconds of Fury (before traits, gear, or buffs).

No.  The racial skill has not been categorized as a Shout from what people have understood.  There's an old thread somewhere here in the Warrior forum that talked about this more specifically.  (I believe people were testing this in BW1 before there were trait tiers.)

asura has a major advantage due to them being overlooked in large battles due to their size. downside is you wont be able to see your weapon and armor details since they are so small.

But you're a Warrior. You dont want to be overlooked.

Anyway I think their size difference is overexaggerated. You can just as well argue that Asura will be targeted more because they are smaller and easier to spot in a forrest of similar sized people. Or that they are smaller and thus weaker, so you go after the weakest first.

Serious question, have you not played an MMO with smaller characters available? if you haven't then I understand how you might think it is over-exaggerated.

Asura has major advantage for being the most fun to play. My Asura hammer warrior in bwe3 was ridiculous.

I think in WvW the Sylvari and Charr racials will be the best. For me visuals come first, I will be Human in every case.

I was intend to chose Charr as a warrior. Then I was thinking about Norn as a warrior.

But now I know what I will chose.

A human.

In Origin Guild Wars we have played human race. If I will chose human as a warrior, it will continue the story. When I will in Ascalon Catacombs, I will have the memories. Once, it was a grate City, where my new character's people was living. In this country, fighting against the charr, defending the kingdom.
Once, Ascalon was a beautiful kingdom, homeland of human nation, but we lost it. Charr have took it. (but they have took it back, it was their homelands, long before the humanity)

250 years have past since my new character's people, led by prince Rurik, left the kingdom to seek a shelter, a new home in Kryta. Rurik died tragically in Shiverpeak Mountains in an attempt to save refugees. My old character had to take a lead, so the Ascalonian people can continue moving to Kryta.

In Origin Guild Wars humanity were the protagonists(as a playable race). And in Guild Wars 2 the story of the humanity will continue, while the other races's story will only the beginning(I mean as a playable races).

For me it will be great to continue the story of the human nation.

Standard human - like the armor looks.
Was tempted to roll Norn  but there is smth wrong with that race - they look weird.

I have played plenty of them, and Lurikeen (DAoC) was a lot smaller than Asura and were still not really overlooked. I think it is more of a placebo effect. I mean, like 50% of Hibernian's were Lurikeen or something. lol

I dun think Human utilities are useful, you can't use them in PvP, in WvW, Prayer to Kormir removes 3 condition, but since it's WvW you will not be attack be single enemy, even if you remove 3 condition it will keep coming.

How can we not want a extra heal. We will not have a monk healing the tank in GW2.

I'm leaning toward a tall male Asura (tall to get around the smaller scaled gear problem), gotta love their animations and the race overall, and knocking the taller races over with my tiny Hammer is just great fun :)

Others I would consider are Female Sylvari and Female Charr, Norn and Human just don't appeal to me I guess....

But Eles do not use a hammer! ;)

Prayer to Dwayna doesn't count as a utility skill. It's a healing skill and takes that slot.

I'm unsure if I should pick a male Norn or a male Charr, I like the Charr design overall but I'm not too keen on the available faces and their hunch. However, I think more armour generally looks better on the Norn, especially the helmets, which I know you can hide but some look cool, just not as much on the Charr.

I was a mess between Norn and Human. Finally I will chose Human just for how the armor suit him and an overall look of it.

Although I prefer the history of the char or the Norn, I don´t want a character too big. It´s weird for me if I´m much bigger than mobs or other pjs or NPC humanoids. I don´t wanna feel like a giant although a powerful big berseker can sound interesting :-).

About racials, I really don´t care. My play style depends a lot of how I see my char in the game.

You can choose a larger race and still not be massive... I don't remember which thread I originally saw this picture in, but I saved it, because I think it makes a valuable comparison.
