Dan: I mostly liked CG until the end of the first season, at which point I hated the series and am not going to watch it again.

Rhod: Howl's was good, but spirited away was better.

My top 3 are:
1. first 2 Tenchi ova series (got me into anime to begin with)
2. Coyote Ragtime Show (lotsa campy goodness)
3. Cromartie High School (brilliant comedy)
It is a statical fact that half the people on the boards have a secret desire to be a cat-girl samurai.

Definitely one of my most loved animes, short and sweet. And I also did enjoy Tenchi, but I'm a little skeptical to watch Code Geass just because of all the buzz that had been going on. :/

Bleach. Manga is great, anime is a bit less great with all the filler episodes and fights.
Code Geass is solid.
Cowboy Bebop is a longtime list-topper.
FMA ain't bad. Can't say I've dedicated too much time to watching/reading it through entirely.

Bah yeah, I remember there was a Bleach filler about the zanpakutos that lasted like what, 3 or even 4 months.

I don't do alot of anime, the only thing I have really gotten into so far has been studio Ghibli and FMA. I love the original FMA anime and am currently working my way through FMA:B.

Of the ones I've watched, I'm going to have to say Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. It's just about over, but what a run...

I have sadly not seen any Hayao Miyazaki films. I will have to correct that oversight soon, though. Many of the others cited in this thread I've seen, and some are pretty good. Bleach used to be my favourite series but its predictability and ... slight lack of attention to common sense at times have made me a little jaded. I still watch it though, mostly because I like many of the characters.

Cowboy Bebop one of the best out there!  I wish they would do that movie though Keanu reeves said he would play Spike.

one piece, detective conan, naruto, bleach and inuyasha are kind of pointless; they had a good idea but the stuff starts to repeat itself soon and they simply cant come up with good ending. long series is usually better as manga.
best anime usually is 12/25 episodes or a movie.

from anime i liked pretty much welcome to nhk, tengen toppa gurren lagann, death note, azumanga daioh, excel saga and monster.

There's a lot of great stuff out there. It's really hard to call something "best" as it is highly subjective. I myself really enjoyed Soul Eater.

There are a lot of other series I really enjoy but the only way to see those is either Crunchy Roll or Fansubs at the moment. And sadly we cannot share fansub links on the forums. Through PM's is a different story though.

I'm currently watching Texhnolyze, which is more than just a bit weird. Not sure I understand what's going on yet.

Of all the .hack anime I've seen, //sign is the only one I particularly liked.  The one that was the precursor to the second set of games was just awful.

Yay for anime!!! And to all you Cowboy Bebop fans out there, you rock! I'm looking forward to the live action movie, I just hope they don't butcher it like some live-action movies of animes have done (apparently, I haven't seen one lol).

My favorite anime of all time though is InuYasha. I absolutely love that series, and I'm glad they finally finished it with The Final Act. And it's a decent ending too. Sweet!

No one said Dragonball Z! Well I liked Dragonball GT better...really enjoyed the anime series when I was a kid.

Rurouni Kenshin was not bad I liked it except they never finished...or so I was informed.

I'm enjoying Bleach and Naruto at the moment but I'm getting sick of Bleach's dragged out fights.

Best anime ever (probably due to being a childhood favourite) is YuGiOh...imo of course :D

I'm gonna have to say that manga for me is almost always better then the anime adaptions. In fact I think that manga in general is better then anime.

My fav manga: Vagabond

My fav anime: Ergo Proxy

Also one of my favourite series is...Fist of the North Star! (Hokuto Shinken)

This is the top of the list, it can go very long. For manga I cannot decide.:p

I like a lot FMA and Hana Yori Dango.

I stopped reading Naruto a few months ago and Bleach is getting really annoying...

Subbed is much better. Sure the dubbed version is worth watching, but searching harder for a sub is even more worth it.

The English dub for Cowboy Bebop is what made it an Anime Classic.

Also for the sake of everyone and legality, please do not talk about downloading anime from the internet unless they are by legal means. (IE: streaming on Crunchy Roll (or any other legal streaming site), downloading to own on PSN, or iTunes.)
