[Minami Kaori]

Hi Everyone!

I had a great 4 hours during the stress testing!
I bought some gems to use at headstart, but during the stress test, I immensely enjoyed myself spending all that money on miniature packs from the gem store, consequence free.

I took tons of screenshots, jotted down names, and when that was done, I headed over to the Mystic Forge to dump all my minis into it and see how it works and what the results were like.

It was a very interesting and immensely enjoyable 4 hours, and if you love minis like I do, check out the pics below for some icons, mini looks, Mystic Forge combos and rates of drops.

Every single miniature I got out of 13 packs. 13 x 3 = 39 minis

Here are the screenshots of all the minis, with their names written on the pics, and their icons up in the corner. I don't think the icons are in perfect order, but maybe
Warning, the picture is BIG, takes a while to load.

Here are the pics of the Mystic Forge run.
You can only put in 4 of the same rarity minis (haven't tried it with anything else, so I don't know if this is true to everything).
I wrote on the picture the type of batch I put in, common or uncommon (green), and the result is visible right next to it.
There are also screenshots of the few new type of minis I got out of the forge this way.
This pic is even bigger than the other one.

EDIT2: The last 3 screenshots on the bottom of this one are placed next to each other for no reason other than me being too tired at 10 pm LOL. So they are: Vampiric Bat (Yellow/Rare), Snow Troll (Uncommon/Green), Fire Imp (Uncommon/Green).

EDIT: The reason I posted all the mini names in the beginning is for you to see what the "drop" rates are from a Miniatures Pack from the Gem Store. Duplicates are entirely possible, and WILL happen.

So, it's like weapons/armor. You have a chance to get one from an higher rarity, if not you get a different one of the same rarity.
I saw some very good minis, but I doubt I will use gems on them. =/

Is there a way to get these minatures outside from the cash shop?

I liked the miniature Golem in that one, one thing that bugs me about miniatures is that they don't follow you on the same speed... it gets annoying having then all the way back there not following you fast enough.

Storm Imp and Ascalonian Mage are my favorite. The mage would be perfect for a Charr character.

Trading Post. It can be more expensive than buying the gems and buying the minis tho. (Specially with the rare ones)

Yeah i know that, what i meant is that if there's a way to acquire then without having to use the cash shop AT ALL, like some super rare drop from something or a reward for a certain task.

As far as I know, there isn't. Since it's purely cosmetic.
Mystic Chest and Personal Story seem to give some gem store items, but I haven't seen anyone getting a Mini from there. But it's not completely impossible.

we don't know yet, I don't think they've ever confirmed either. But I personally assume we will get at least some of them from birthday presents

Actually one of the devs did state that minis were going to be Cash shop only items with maybe a rare event giveaway (say like for comic con or something of the sort)...they mentioned nothing about birthday give aways like they had in GW1

I sure hope they'll have birthdays in GW2... it was one of my most favorite moments in GW1, counting the months till my next char bday *grin* I like presents!
(the most frustrating too, as I've never gotten anything better than white text items :/)
