Has Anybody Received the Soundtrack Yet?

As the title suggests. For those who ordered last month, do we know when they're going to start shipping? Has anybody gotten theirs?

Can't find it, but I'm pretty sure I read it would be shipped on release only. Guess we'll see.

Awaiting mine patiently. Ordered it sometime last month, I expect it to arrive around release, if not shortly before.

Also, "Server: Isle of Janthir" x3 Combo!

If I remember correctly when I bought it (the first day), it said it'd be 4-6 weeks.

It's been a month, so still two weeks left in that estimate for those of us that ordered right away.

I ordered on the first day too and this is my recollection as well.  I'll start worrying if I don't receive it by August 18th.

I just ordered mine today, so was just curious since they've been taking orders since early July. I hope mine was signed by Mr. Soule!

I ordered mine near the time it was announced as well, and I was wondering if anyone else had received theirs. Even though it did say 6 weeks or so, sometimes these things can come earlier, but I can rest easy knowing no one has them yet :P

Mine hasn't shipped yet, it'll be a month in about 2 days. :P But my last order with them didn't get sent out until about 35 days, and then it'll need another week or two to cross the Atlantic. :D

You'll get an order update when it ships, so no worries.

Hey, deciced to post in this thread since it's now August 19th, past the 6 week mark. So has anyone got there copy yet? I haven't and I have reciveved no message about it aside from paypal conformation.

I ordered mine July 9 and has not received anything yet, though the money has been pulled from my bank account.
And I can't log in to their web site and check the status, because the password I get in the mail has "é" in it, just because my last name is spelled with é :P So when I try to type in my last name, or the strange password sent to me, I get error. Not can I do anything about it, since I need to log in to get to their support, the mail says. So I just hope that the order status is as it should and that I will receive the CD soon.

Ordered 7/14...nothing yet.
No shipping info even though I can log in to Directsong.. sigh.(Not everyone is as Amazon friendly)

(there are a few generic OSTs pulled from the client out on the internets but are generally inferior in quality and lack proper track names)

Just found this thread.  I was curious when my might be coming so I logged in and the Order Status is at "Card Approved".

I guess this means my order hasn't shipped yet.

I'd love to hear if anyone has gotten it or gotten a shipping notification.

I'm in the same boat. My status says "Card Approved" as well. I've been looking around online to see if anyone else has received it, but it doesn't look like that. Support said it would ship in 4-6 weeks, and this past Monday marked 6 weeks for me... I guess it's just taking them longer than they anticipated...

Really sucks though. I'm so pumped to listen to the soundtrack.

It looks people have started receiving them.  My order has been marked as shipped for a while, but I've not gotten it or an email with tracking info like others have received.

Where can you check the order status? Mine is simply listed under past orders on the DirectSong website, but it hasn't even shipped yet as far as I know. :/

Click past orders.  There is an order status.  When I first checked it said "Card Approved" and later it changed to "Order Shipped".  That is all I ever saw and I never got any emails about order status.

Mine came on tuesday :) Sounds absolutely wonderful. :lol:

Ripped all 4 discs loss-lessly to my harddrive for ease of use and have been enjoying the music a great deal.
There are 78 tracks on the 4 discs, for a total of about 3.1 hours.

My friend got his about 3 weeks after ordering it mid august...  Judging from what I've heard, it seems like directsong uses a really unreliable shipping service =x

They blame it on "manufacturing delays", but so far all of the (automated) responses I have gotten seem like a whole lot of nonsense.

I've gotten the "shipping in the next 5 business days" 2 weeks in a row now and I don't expect to see anything decent with my next ticket update. I'm sorely tempted to go back to my credit card company and report DirectSong as a scam site, considering the abysmal level of "customer service". I don't expect to actually get my soundtrack anymore, so I'll just reclaim my money instead if the next reply isn't acceptable.

I am never, ever going to buy anything from them again, ever... and if anyone asks me for my customer experience or whether or not they should buy from them? Well, I'll tell them they're probably better off with an illegal download and a Nigerian general as their accountant.


I've been waiting for two months now. :(

I am currently writing them an support ticket, the guy who had been answering mine had been vague and last update I got was "Friday or Monday at the latest".

I work in customer service myself and their lack of communication is horrible.

Customer service level: epic failure.


I'm a logistics specialist. The fact that they think they need 4 to 6 weeks to ship a small parcel is cringe-worthy to start with, everything after that is just downright absurd. People who have ordered later than I did have already received their item, I can't even get more than automated nonsense replies.

Just updated my ticket again. I think I'll just start doing so daily for the coming week until I get a decent response. If that doesn't work, I'm reporting them as a fraud / scam site and will reclaim my money via insurance. If I had had at least one proper, human reply I would likely have been more patient, but after this long I am honestly fed up with the whole thing.


The saddest part is that DS was already horrible where it came to service concerning GW1 soundtracks, I can't believe that ANet is still using it as sole distributor for the GW2 soundtrack. It's not like people haven't had issues with them before.

While you wait there are other alternatives on how to obtain the OST.

I know I have no qualms at stopping by the bay of pirates while the parcel is making it's slow way across the Atlantic.

I just filed a claim in the PayPal Resolution Center against DirectSong after six weeks of non-receipt. I have had multiple support tickets on the terrible 3rd-party DirectSong support website go unanswered. It would seem that DirectSong has worse customer service than ArenaNet, although I'm not surprised ANet contracted the official soundtrack to such a poor company what with their own lackluster track record.

What is more, the DirectSong website isn't even available to check your order status. Try visiting https://www.directso...ex.php?menuid=4 (found by clicking the logo on the bottom of www.directsong.com) or try clicking on "Buy Now" for the GW2 soundtrack. I believe this company to be fraudulent.

At best, just really, really horrible to deal with.


I finally got my soundtrack in the mail, and I'm extremely disappointed. Why? On the outside it looks like someone sat on it, and on the inside, all the plastic is cracked/broken/missing. I'd send it back and ask for a replacement considering the fact that such poor delivery conditions are unacceptable, but... yeah.

Summary: DirectSong sucks, and their product is not worth the money.


If anyone is still considering getting the soundtrack, just go and visit some pirates over at the bay and ask them for it. Much less hassle.

I actually wrote on their FB if i was going to get a reply at all on my ticket and got the followign reply:

Hi XXXX, I apologize for any inconvenience and will be sure to forward your concern to our Customer support department your satisfaction is very important to us and your patience, understanding and cooperation has been greatly appreciated. Due to high demand it is difficult to keep the soundtracks in stock, However we just received a manufacture shipment to be signed by the composer. Your Ticket # has been forwarded to the team.

Good.. we will see what happens I guess..
