I will be participating in the entire 4 hour stress test today. If anyone has any specific request (as far as in-game images) I will be keeping up with this thread and any screencap request.

Heritage armor sets, and the Dwanya/Balthazar gauntlets, maybe? If they're available somewhere for preview, I mean...

Still love that rifle and still hate the fellblade (didn't care for it in GW1 either).

I myself haven't seen a means to find any armor sets. Currently the GW2 db also hasn't supported armor model previews. From what I have gathered there are only three people (and/ who ever runs curse db) who can data mine the most recent .dat.

That said, I'm still searching for both the means to extract from the most recent, others who have and are doing it, and also any like images out there.

Here is an image of the Fiery Dragon Sword as it appears in Game.
It was hard to get a Close up because I could only find Rytlock in an instance, and he was constantly fighting until a cutscene ><

Also I have a speculation that the HoM NPC (at least for humans) might be this guy. You can find him in your personal instance as soon as you zone in to the left and through an open-able door (pictured open)

Posted Image

Some other clues which brings me to the conclusion, is there was also another NPC who had the tag [tour] preceding his name. He walks the player through the home instance providing Lore. He makes a statement about 'past heroes' right around the back door of this mans house (yes there are two open-able doors which lead to the old man).

If it was against the rules, we probably wouldn't be running http://www.gw2db.com/
Oh so that was datamined as well?
I've never really read that page much, so I had no idea.
(In fact after clicking that link I was told I have a name change ticket and something...)

I'm not exactly a saint myself, I just don't wanna see you guys get sued 'cos I like these forums.
I've seen websites get into trouble for datamining before, you see... Which is why many forums ban datamined images.

Since you've ran that database for quite some time and Arenanet has said nothing I suppose they really don't mind it, then.
Good to know that I don't need to be careful about posting that stuff here, then. ;)

Or maybe its some sort of "meme" or joke.
In old RPGs(and even some new ones) the hero has a tendency to barge in into the NPC's house and take all their loot and good stuff. I saw a video about this a few months ago, it was really funny and so true xD

Here's the video:

Rofl that vid was great. I think this is all the more reason it might be the HoM NPC. GW1 is known for it pop-cultural reference in almost every aspect of the game (character lines, titles, places, quest, etc). I think It would be a kinda of allusion of a time when Guild Wars was quirky like that, also i think there is the potential to have not 1 but 5 of these kinda references (1 for each race).

My other suspicion was a Norn clad in blue armor (forgot to take a screencap) who is just inside the in. Seeing how EoTN is how in ruins somewhere beyond Norn Settlement.

The baby Orrian chick is definitely awesome :D. I like the other minis too and will have one of each spread out between my characters.

Will The HoM weapons and armors be a transmutation of existing armors in the inventory or complete new spawns?

The weapons look awesome, especially the fellblade. I can't wait to wield that thing in-game.
With the post of the IDS in-game, any chance anyone fell upon finding the VDS?

I think if we are to find one in GW2 it will most likely be in Orr, seeing how that's were all of the dragon swords originated. Part of me hopes its going to be environmental, rather than just another Weapon skin...how sick would it be to use vampiric weapon abilities with that thing.

You did that too?  I hope I wasn't the only one who was sad when nothing happened after kneeling.

Then again, I was playing a Charr at the time.  Scarin' the mice's gods off, no doubt.

I think we need to restore the favor of the gods...they've been long forgotten.

Quick! Someone start consuming 10,000 fruitcakes!
As for the VDS I wouldn't mind it being a environmental weapon but I'd at least like a skin of it maybe something with a effect relating to the users health.

I think its always worth it, not only you're supporting Anet, like you're getting 3 free points just by linking the accounts, and if you want help, you need to ask around in the GW1 forum, not this one.
Other than that, you can watch some videos on youtube on how to get some points quickly. Ofc, its still going to consume some of your time. I believe you might even dedicate these last 2 weeks solely to GW1 just to get a decent amount of points.

What would you say is a decent amount because i'm primarily concerned with getting 8 points for the bow?

that would be very easy...play through night fall as a ranger or ranger secondary leveling a pet to 20 along the way.
you will unlock at least 5 heroes (more just playing campaign)

Once you finish Night fall you will have 2 points.
Go back and do the lil arcade-like challenge missions to get hero armor on 5 of your heroes for 2 points.
having a pet at lvl 20 is another 1 point.
Then just link your account to a plaync master account for an easy 3 points.

You dont have to complete EoTN Campgain
You can just make it to the second outpost which is the actual location of the HoM. You need only 2 'banners' on for Honor and one for Devotion to fill out all those points...and the item you use to 'activate' the potential to List your deeds of Honor and Devotion is trade-able.

------

if you are new to the game, and dont wana have to think about it to hard I suggest Making a Paragon. You wont die with a full party of npc helpers.

They look terrible. Like gw2 took a step back. Although these previews could be on a mid-range computer. Oh well I'm happy that I'll still have these skins available to me.
as was said, we're only seeing the base mesh with a diffuse texture.. it should have Normal & Spec & be lit. which make me wonder.. why show these awful screenshots?

Glad everyone is enjoying the screens I took of the charr and his fellblade. :P

Anyway, here's what we still haven't seen at all:

Medium Heritage Male Armor
Medium Heritage Female Armor
Light Heritage Female Armor
Icelord's Diadem
Heavenly Bracers
Fire God's Vambraces
Baroque Mask

I'm particularly interested in seeing the Light Heritage Female Armor, but any of these would be good.

You're never supposed to post a big trail of images like that without hiding them with the spoiler tags. Also, several of those are not GW1 skins.

Fix'd
And yes they are all not exact replicas...but each of them in someways references the form of a like weapon in the original Guild Wars. I'm can list names if you'd like.

And these are supposed to be daggers?  I hope and wish it was just bugged, and they are the size as in the original GW.
I hope they're definitely not bugged. Sword-like daggers are da best.

I was thinking of toiling for Fellblade, but having seen it, I prefer the Avenger Longsword more.

This thread saved me a lot of pain.
