An overview on the profession reveal, nothing new.

EDIT: oops, I judged it based on the link round up. apparently it does have some new things.

>.< don't judge things before you read them.

Info on elemental drake pets is really cool. Hope they don't grow and turn on us when they find out our Heroes' goal of taking down the elder dragons...

3 down, 5 more months to go. As they reveal more the wait will start to feel shorter. The hard part is almost done, one more profession reveal and we'll be halfway home to beta.

Head on round the east side of the Eye of the north to find a huge, lush garden full of red iris flowers and greenery.

Oh! Whats that!? Why, its a Moa and Polar bear with collars on them! *charms*

Drakes and Ice traps :D

Pets will set the Ranger apart from other professions, in that they're the only ones that'll have ‘em.

I thought there were 2 classes with pets >.> *confused*

^ Ranger is the only profession that has such a pet mechanic. Without his pet, the ranger is not a ranger. There are other professions that can have pets, but not with such a throughout pet mechanic as the ranger has and with such pet specialization and customization.

Yeah, I vaguely remember hearing something along the lines of "only certain professions can use pets". I'll try to find it, but I'm lazy.

What does it mean when it says that there will be 12 types?

Like 12 pet types. Like Bear, Wolf, Shark, etc.

Each type has sub-types. Like bear has Brown Bear, Black Bear, Polar Bear.

There is more than one profession which uses some kind of companion. The ranger is the only one which uses pets but there is atleast one other profession which uses minions or spirits or robots or whatever.

No, they said pet, not companion...

Because of these factors, we decided that we didn’t need the companion system and could focus our efforts on making the professions that do use pets very distinctive and cool.  We’ll be talking more about that as we further reveal the GW2 professions

Don't mess with ppls heads and tell rumours that isn't true/confirmed.

Thanks for the link.  It's nice how each article in the recent batch has little tidbits the others did not.  Very cool to hear about drake pets, even if I don't plan on playing a Ranger.
