tbh if people want mounted combat they can go buy the new lotro expansion as long as they don't mind an ailing community and a ton of lag that has existed for months.

I don't think mount are conducive to the exploration in the gw2, what with jumping puzzles and caves etc, I think its very much designed to be explored on foot.

Also there have not really been many environmental animals that would fit in for mounts. Never see horses, in fact the only thing I think that would keep in with the lore would be strapping a saddle on a Moa bird.

Wow people really don't like mounts huh? I don't think mounts are a bad idea, their a great way of getting through places that you don't want to spend too much time in. Some people don't want to explore and way points can get expensive, mounts seem like a good way for people to get through a zone they don't have interest in/been too way to many times and don't really care anymore.

Really if I don't want to do anything in a zone I shouldn't be forced to because I have to walk through it, what happened to 'play your way'

I am not sure what having sterile +25% and then +50% divisions has to do with Guild Wars. GW2 has been moving away from such sterility, in fact.
