The red map markers are the ones I'm thinking of..  I thought those were the "puzzles".
I've been avoiding playing beyond level 10 because I don't want to burn myself out.
Those "vistas" were added to also give people a clue that jumping and exploring were encouraged...as well as show off some of the views.

Oh. Yeah... Those are vistas, not the jumping puzzles. You'll know when you complete a jumping puzzle... they're like vistas on steroids.

Maybe he'll enjoy Riven.

Oh Riven, though I preferred Revelations onwards - so sad I even have the hardback linking book novels, and still visit The Cavern occasionally.

They were better before the idea of vistas, with floating coins.. er... maps in the world.

The jumping puzzles that get you access to certain areas were cool, because they were also sparse and not marked on the map. Now, it's just overdone and dangled with a reward... not exploration at all.

And you should know better than anyone else on these boards that if they were all hidden, people would bitch and maon.

I find them very fun and stop at each one to try and get through it.

Hearts were not in the game either Lethality but they added them to help players find a path through the world when they start to feel a little lost.

Let's also keep in mind that we have only seen maybe a third of the game so far. I have a feeling that many of the higher levels puzzels will take a bit more to complete. Not all of course but more.

Some Vistas lead to jumping puzzles, a hint for finding the pirate cave puzzle in Lion's Arch is jump into the stone mouth that you see from the Vista. It will make sense when see that Vista.

You can do the Lion's Arch ones at any level, I believe there is at least one or two ones in actual zones that low too. Might not suggest the Norn one though it has a tendancy to cause anger and a deep hate for ravens.

That would explain a lot! I guess people have been offended for all the wrong reason. And here I though people were finding vistas difficult. Man do I feel like a douche/retard now..

ahh, well there you go!

and the purpose of vistas, though some do not care for this, is to add to map completion achievement, and...perhaps...some of them ready some players for the more intricate and difficult true jumping puzzles  :)

Does anyone sincerely think they add anything fun at all to the game? I don't know if they get harder as you progress through the zones, but calling them puzzles is an insult to anyone with an average IQ..

If I find the jumping puzzle fun... I don´t know take a look at the video... but last time I was there I had a blast.

I wouldn´t mind if the puzzles would get a bit bigger, but so far I manage to die in every puzzle xD

Fun, non-typical content.
Helps you explore and appreciate the world/adds more depth to the world.
Because Anet felt like adding them.
