I've noticed that the Jaguar Pet has a skill that gives itself 6 seconds of stealth. What is the point of pet stealth?
Thanks

What about dropping an aggro of enemies in PvE when your pet is low on hp?

It forces an opponent to drop target on the squishy cat for a second. Also, I'm not sure if stealth pulling works in this game like it did back in good old EverQuest, but you might be able to send in the pet to attack a group, then shoot the mob you want, stealth/call back the pet, and you should only pull the one enemy.

It also increases the chance for their next attack to critically hit if im not mistaken.

Thanks for the responses. I guess that it kind of makes sense. I just wish that the jaguar had a stealth attack kind of like a thief's. Because I love the jaguar, and in terms of back story, my ranger will have one. I just wish that it could be a little more useful in battle as well.

You just gave me an awesome answer to how I could have a rather squishy but high damage pet survive to get the most out of Master's Bond in pve
With the built in stealth, it gives me another method of keeping fluffy alive for an extended period without swapping out.
Jaguar + heal on pet's crits trait + warhorn to help maintain Fury on the pet + invulnerability signet for pet + Rampage as One elite + self heal that heals pet. Top it off with an emergency stealth should all the other normal abilities be down, and I should be able to maintain Master's Bond without much trouble

Every Drizzt fan wants his/her Guenhwyvar....... I'm not sure I'll be using my jag in combat.....but around town definitely!!
question if stealth removes Aggro.....can a stealthed jaguar revive other players unnoticed?

i feel like it is still useless, i can just pet swap
There's probably going to be more than one situation where you can't actually pet swap because of the cooldown. At some point, a pet is going to die and the other will have to live for 40 seconds or one will last shorter than 20 seconds.
This pet is theoretically more of an inbetween for those kinds of situations. If you want a pet that can deal stacks of bleeding and vulnerability, yet doesn't exactly have a glass jaw, this is probably your best bet.

I believe Stealth does break aggro. I saw someone else complaining that stealthing on Thieves reset the aggro so the enemy regenerated, but somehow that doesn't seem like a problem when there are two characters running around.
I also think you can perform actions in Stealth, as well, so a Ranger with Search and Rescue or Lick Wounds could certainly use his stealthed Jag to save him or his friends.

Thanks Bacon - you make some good points. I'm feeling more comfortable about Jaguar now. Although I still want a stealth attack!

I think you are mistaken...tooltip just says stealth.
Seems like stealth has a side-mechanic. You will notice this with thieves a lot, their attacks have higher chances to crit when breaking stealth. I know my Jaguar seems to crit every time he stealths.
