So wait, does our off hand make us look like we are on a horse or does the offhand itself look like a man on a horse?

I'm against mounts but hitting things with a horse would be fun...

I'll say outright, the implementation suggested by the OP is silly.  Here's a similar, alternate proposal:
Some weapon sets for most professions offer at least one option for increasing mobility.  Would it be totally unreasonable, if another offhand-only weapon were available, for each profession to have an offhand item (not necessarily the same item from profession to profession) whose primary purpose is mobility, stun-breaking, and evasion?  Again, I note that some professions already have one or more such skills but that it could be interesting if each profession were able to focus intensely on them.

I think everyone is looking at this the wrong way.  There is no need for horse mounts when we have CHARR!  My suggestion:

When you stand next to another charr player you have the option to 'Press F to mount Charr'.  You'll have no control over your direction (the charr player still controls his character) but your skill bar will turn into 3 skills- "Lean Left", "Lean Right" and "Lean Forward".  You use these skills to stay on the Charr player as the Charr player uses his new skills "Buck Left", "Buck Right", "Buck Back" to try and knock you off  (think of it as a game of rock paper scissors).

Does anyone know the personal email of any of the devs?

LOL I <3 that movie.
If we can have a cow catapults in WvW, and cow pies in PvE I insist that we include horses catapults and horse pies too, but of course some people will say neigh.  :P

*pictures a lot of very annoyed charr running around and the occasional flying asura* hehe fun stuff. Better idea than the OP lol
You sir just created a new mini game. You enter a special area, where seemingly nothing happens untill you meet a charr that also made the mistake of entering. Muhahaha would so be my asura's favorite sport.

*cough* I would go back on topic, but already said it was a bad idea. So yeah. It still is.

Skill 1: "Horse Shoe" - 100% critical chance for 10 sec. 50% Chance to pull out the unlucky horse of the hat :)
Skill 2: "Throw a Horse" - You toss your horse into the enemy and create AoE of Horse S*it. Dealing damage, poison, chill and daze all foes.

honestly, both your posts are a joke.

it doesn't matter what words you use or how you choose to convey your message..this is getting quite ridiculous..if you love your "mounts" or w/e you call them..either go back to a game that has them or realize that most of the GW community doesn't like the thought of mounts or horse offhands.

there have been tons of these types of posts and guess what..? every single time they get shot down.

p.s. thank god you dont work for anet

Clearly the idea of an off-hand horse is absurd. What we really need are dual-wield coconuts. The principal skill will be called "Laden Sparrow". It will summon sparrows to come pick you up, giving you a speed boost.

The question is... how much speed boost do they add?

Well this has gone spectacularly nowhere, as expected with mount threads so I'll just close it here.
