Ok so as you all know, I did the opposite of this topic awhile back.  Remember?  The good old Stupid things you've done while RPingthread?  Right.

Anyways, this is the opposite of that.  What is your crownding achievement in terms of RP?  The occaison you are most proud of or had the most fun in!  We all have one.  That one moment that stands out and makes you ask why they can't all be like that.

As usual, I'll start out.

It was back in my WoW days as my guild's (<Positive>) sole RP officer.  It was actually one of our first true RP nights.  I held a vote to see what everyone would like to do and treasure hunt was the number one request.  Too bad it wasn't my idea.  Luckily, the person who thought of it had some ideas.

So we headed out to Darkshore and RP took over.  And it... Was... Amazing.  We had a slow walk throughout most of Northern Darkshore talking and developing characters.  At one point the group split up.  half went back to the town while the rest continued to search.  I was in the search group.  After about 15 minutes, it started raining so we took shelter in a nearby cave.  Then came the thunder.  Now, my character was afraid of thunderstorms so I knew this would be a great chance to actually use it.  Now, what made this especially good was that I was playing a worgen so that actually opened up some interesting dialogue with everyone who kept calling me that scared puppy afraid of thunderstorms.  it was a grand old time as we sat around a camp fire and just passed the times with stories and character development.

Then there was a cave in.  Crap got real and one of our guys got killed.  That was enough for everyone to have a significant freakout.  What fun we had that night.  We were eventually rescued by the group that split off and had their own good time and the night eventually had to end.  Unfortunately the girl who's idea the event was basically never logged on again so we couldnt really follow it up.

Oh well.  I do have another story but Im saving it for later.

Before Wrath all the major Horde Guilds on Emerald Dream met in front of the Warchief to discuss how to deal with the alliance who had recently griefed Thunder Bluff. It was very RP with officers stepping forward to cast their votes in character. And amazingly, out of like 80 people on screen, only 2 were really being disruptive to the process,

What a nice story! Although the idea is pretty basic -exploring and taking shelter from the rain- it developed into a very enjoyable RP experience. I hope experiences like these happen too in Tyria :)

All my time on City Of heroes RPing and I can't say anything epic happened...  At least not off the top of my head.

Well...  Besides my Kheldian was sparring with another student and my guy would not give up to the point the other student used an elephant tranquilizer on him...  Would have been funny but as the RP played on, someone highly mistook In-Character insults from character to character as "Out of character."  Thus they both got in a fight, rage quit the guild and one of the leaders said they were tired of the drama so they quit too...

By the way a kheldian is an alien.  They possess willing hosts to survive and use raw energy as a power.  And no, I did not make this up, it is a class in the game.

But if I RP any more interesting stories I will let you know.  I'm better at writing then I am at RPing, and that ain't saying much.

A couple of years back, I ran a guild on WoW along with a few others. It was an adventurous paramilitary guild, with a pseudo-DnD roll system.

One mission, my guild had received a rather bountiful contract in order to rescue hostages from the Tanaris/Un'goro border, and things were going well; much troll blood was spilt. We had a guest come along, and the fellow was... strange. Very strange. But the members thought nothing of it, called in to have hostages evacuated, and the squad was heading back to home base.

Problem was, the men had lost their way in the desert, and who knows what lurks under the sands. Suddenly, dune-style sandworms gave chase, and we ran like hell. However, our guest, had a BRILLAINT IDEA:

"Keep running, I see the base up ahead," said one of adventurers.

Regulus, the guest, stopped right in his tracks, and from his Batman utility belt, pulled a full-sized beetle costume, complete with working wings and legs that worked if he got on all fours and tucked in tightly. "I'll blend in with the surroundings!"

Huffing and puffing, the other members looked at eachother, then kept running. A roll for the costumed failed, but a roll to save the man worked.

Good times.

Oh, and one more that popped in my head.

Had a guild meeting, one of the characters in the guild was pregnant, and IC rules did now allow pregnant characters on the field for painfully obvious reasons.

A week later from declaring her pregnancy, I received whispers:

Member: ((I'm so tired of being pregnant...))
Me: ((Well, that's what happens when she gets pregnant! Don't you have any other alts?))
Member: ((Yeah, but it's so boring. I want to play on [character].))
A moment passes.
Member: ((Screw it, I'm having this baby out now!))

The IC guild channel flares up, with the character in question giving birth... a minute after the meeting... in the middle of the Ironforge streets.

Later that day, she moved into Ironforge and began her training to get into field shape.

The next day, she grabbed her gear and war rarin' for action.

Presenting a pirate encounter that my friends and I will never, ever forget.

We've just finished a salvage run on a planetside lostech cache.  The ship begins its journey to the jump point, when our ship is accosted by space pirates.  They order us to heave-to and prepare to be boarded, or they'll shoot us to pieces.

Now, this ship we're flying is a rattletrap, held together by glue, baling wire and a whole lotta good wishes.  We've already had to replace our broken-down sewage treatment system; it's a pretty big piece of equipment, so we've stored it in an empty cargo bay.

The pirates are getting annoyed with our stalling, so I'm going over what we can use to defend ourselves (we're a cargo ship, we have no weapons to speak of).

Did I mention that we stored our broken space toilet in a pressurized cargo bay?  Yup, you guessed it: we opened the cargo bay's external doors and fired our defective space toilet at them.

Shortly afterward, the GM admitted that he let us get away with it not because of its originality or creativity, but simply because it was one of the funniest things anyone had ever done in one of his campaigns.

(Oh, and as a point of comparison: NASA estimates that 'the average impact speed of a piece of orbital debris running into another object is 22,370 miles per hour.'  Holy sh**, indeed.)
