Hello everyone,
I know that this question was probably raised many times...
But most of the time I read topics about pure healers etc.. I dont want pure healer and I dont think that GW2 can even offer anything like that....

I would like hybrid which will be able to damage and occasionaly self heal or better heal party members and have great durability

I read a lot and I found out that there is alot of possibilities with heal, but who is the most durable, if anyone can advice specialization it will be even better.

Elementalist with water attunent
Warrior with shouts
Guardian
Ranger
Eng...
Necro etc...

to be hones it seems that everyone can do anything, but I suppose some classes are better in it.

So I want to ask which class is best for combination of these 3 things(if possible not only self healing) and have best durability. (durability is the most important part of the spec)

Durability (self healing) / healing others / damage (burst or conditions) or Durability (self healing) / Damage (burst or conditions) / healing others

I prefer ranged combat but it can be even close combat character or combination of both. I simply I dont need to kill people but I would like to stay alive. I simply looking for tank with possibilites to help others with heals or damage:-)

EDIT: I prefer spec, which dont need to stop dps etc to heal... So preferable some passive healing or anything like that. But its not requirement.

probably guardian, but in general going for some many roles (defensive, healer, damage dealer) on a build will make you a gimp in all of them. combinations of 3 arent really viable IMO, too much stat spread.

Sorry you are right

1) tank (passive) / damage
2) tank (passive) / heal
3) tank (active) / damage
4) tank (active) / heal

the most important is that spec will be really hard to kill - because of armor, active abilites, passive regenerations, life leeching, DS or whatever ... But I want to be somehow useful .... either damage or heal team mates or crowd control but I would rather have damage or heal. Simply spec which will not die but do nothing and not help anyone if no one will attack me dont have a lot of use:-)

But from what I remember in guild wars, when not all expansion packs was released it was sometime fun when you have warrior which was able to fight against 4 players at once and they wrote you please die ... please we already have 9 wins in row:-) and you just wrote them .... yeah dont worry I need to go on toilet:-) You have 30 seconds :-))))) And then you come back press one button and you have full HP again:-) The best was .... that you was able to spike them in few sec. (you just need that they still attack you:-))) )
nice memories ... but I know that this wont be possible here :-)

But something like that will be great :-))))) (not so OP:-))) )

If outright durability is your biggest priority then guardian is without a doubt the choice for you. Having said that though, the warrior is (IMO) better at combining offense with support; their shout build doesn't require a huge trait investment and functions quite passively (just bash them on cooldown), allowing you to trait for other things in addition and focus on doing damage.

Given everything you wrote, you sound like you already picked Necro, lol.

I'd say it's probably the most durable class in the game overall due to lots of health and Death Shroud. It offers good support in terms of AOE regen, some traited healing, and condition manipulation. If it's pure healing support you want, mind you, go Guardian or Elementalist.

It seems that warrior is probably way to go for me, because he can fight and just shout to heal self and others and give them some buffs....

I dont see this possibility to others.

If you want to do similar thing with others you cannot do it so easily. They must simply stay on some place to get heal to remove conditions from them etc ...

Or is here someone else who simply heal, remove conditions, buff them etc on all party members in some range...

I dont know mechanism of guardian and others so its hard to compare it.

Its maybe :
PUG = warrior
sPvP with team on team speak = ............. Thats a question:-)

Warrior's sure makes healing easy with Shouts, Warhorn to remove conditions since the range is all 1200, you don't have to aim anything, just trait them up.
