Edit: The emphasization of the shoulders is due to the fact that the character model is a norn with massive shoulders. DIfferent race/model would change how the armor will look entirely.

So to summarize the video-
You get 5 pieces of armor and also 5 transmutation stones to go along with it. The stones are used to turn the skin of a piece of armor to look like the armor set in the videos. These stones only work once (as far as I know) but you could use them for any level gear, so it's probably wise to use them on higher level armor.

Primeval - Heavy

Krytan - Medium

Profane - Light

Credits to the uploader, Dontain

If you have played the original GW you would know that Primeval was an obtainable armor set, though this one seems modified a bit, but it still looks sick. At ~$6.25 per armor skin set, I wouldn't mind getting all three to be honest, not only to support the game but also because they just look good, imagine when they're colored in.. damn, my level 3 Warrior is going to look so cool slashing pigs and cows lol.

What do you guys think? Hit or miss? ..so far
I think it would be awesome if the Fissure of Woe armor set from GW1 was in GW2, either gem shop or PvP/PvE content.

I would get them, with the option to hide the shoulders i think these sets look pretty nice.

Ok...but...does the Profane set look like Starscream to anyone else?

I wonder how these will look on females and other races.

True, but hiding them behind that massive coat, yuck. most of the coats are attached to the chest pieces, and there is currently only one option (two for humans) that we have seen for female medium armour classes to be without the coats. I expect we will see that on chestpiece integrated into alot of other armours. I, for one am planning on doing just this.

I would definitely buy the primeval.
In GW1 black-dyed primeval & platemail hat was my favourite set.

Wow Profane mask and shoulders are mad ugly. Overkill to the extreme. Kinda looks like a failed superhero to me...

Krytan looks best in my opinion, although I hope you can change the dyes.

Since I'll be playing ele I'm glad I get to see the preview now, so I know I won't be buying them.

what i meant was that it should look like this and thus no buttcape or trenchcoat

Honestly? I don't like any of them, seen a lot cooler looking armor ingame that you don't have to pay for. Now if you dig HUGE shoulders, I can understand why you would want those.

Hopefully they didn't attatch a skirt to this armor ;) I loved it in GW1. Nice tutorial armor.
(I loved her backside in the armor ^^)

I've noticed that Guild Wars 2 is DEFINITELY into the "giant shoulders" thing. No idea why they changed so much from Guild Wars 1.

Tutorial armour?  I got GWAMM in that armour!  (you can get it in Factions, you know!)  But if it looks like the GW1 armour, my ranger will get it, most certainly.

(oh, and the male version is a trenchcoat in GW1 as well...)

You just know someone is going to buy Profane, dye it Humiliation pink and just go running around singing "Trolololol"...and they are going to have a LOT of fun doing it.

None of those skins appeal to me, so I'll use my gems for character slots...unless ANet makes a few more skins which I'll probably like better. ;) There's no such thing as too many armor sets! (Is there?)

Yes yes yes... you can get it with max stats and keep the look ;) But I meant I have it on my ranger in tut - that's what it always will be for me! My other ranger has other armors. This one is exclusively in tut. And I love it - I would get it for my female norn ranger if it looks like this!

For the heavy armor - I would love to see it on asura and charr, because that will be my guardian and warrior. I bet it will look badass ;) I'm happy we can hide the shoulder armor though^^

I'll prob get 'em all for the sake of nostalgia.  Not too keen on any of the shoulders though, and the Profane set shoulders look just...wow.  Also, I hate the Primeval boots...original looked way better.

Agreed. Quite a few of their armor designs worsened compared to GW1 with impractical placing of heavy helmets, the addition of buttcapes/trenchcoats/bride's train style skirts to every cool-looking armor and the ridiculous oversizing of some shoulder pieces... :/ Unfortunately, it's one of the very few aspects of the game where I've seen more decrease in quality rather than increase.

Based on these looks, I won't get any of them. Have to see the female versions, though. There's a chance those might be better.

I dunno I'd have to see them on a Human or a Sylvari* to be able to accurately guage how the shoulders and things would look. Everything is exaggerated on the norn and charr.

Edit: * meant sylvari.

Even if they looked any good -no way  unless I get gems for free. And when they look THAT bad - definitely not
