Personal Story... and Guild Story?

I really like the fact that Guild Wars 2 will have 5 different storylines (with branches). Everyone has his personal story... but what about adding more?

Like a "Guild Story"?
Something where not a single character but the guild as an organization is involved as the main character.

I know it sounds kinda crazy but still i wanted to share this idea.

I like the idea, but on the other hand how do you make people progress in this, it forces you to be there whenever the guild does this or you miss part of the story. They would have to implement some kind of way to replay on your own once the guild has finished the part or something.

this actually sounds like an awesome idea, guild story missions that can only be accessed if you are part of a guild, it should also have many many different branching so only very few guilds experience the same story, and I think they should also require the guild to have levels in politics,economy,etc I dont think someone should just be able to start a guild in one second and do these.
also if they make this type of huge guild content updates it should also bring some sort of GVG with it.

That's what roleplay is for. GW2, in terms of the story, is very much a single player RPG. The 'MMO' bit comes from the actual gameplay.

To be honest, an in-game guild story feature wouldn't be that great, either... every guild would have the same story (or one of a handful of variations), which would just be dull.

That said, if you want a unique story for your guild, nothing's stopping you - it's just up to you and your guild to write it, not Anet.

They could add a guild story that allows your guild to progress and acquire new things. The missions would scale depending on the number of people playing, and it'd be optional if you wanted to be a part of it. I imagine the guild story would focus around the guild proving itself or something.
