Hi all,

Hope you are all well,

I have tried to update the GW2 client today and it tells me +- 9500 files that needs to be downloaded. After 5MB downloaded the download speed drops quickly to 0 and if i click on the screen it tells me the program is not responding and would i like to end it.

Any one else experienced this? and what can i do to fix/repair this.

Sort of the same thing happening to me as well. The only difference is that the download doesn't drop to 0. A few seconds after starting it, the launcher stops responding, gets a black background in a few moments and then it gets the Windows 7 not responding™ treatment - i.e. goes white and Windows starts searching for a solution until it gives up.

I've tried -repair, running as admin, compatibility mode - nothing worked. Not even after several patches.

Hope someone has had some luck with sorting this out.

Found the cause of my launcher crashing. Raptr in-game support was to blame. Turning it off fixed the launcher.

I'm having the same problem.. tried everything listed above and nothing works.

I'm not using anything like Raptr and still can't seem to fix this.
