How many of you can actually get GW2 to high performance?

However i have a problem loading GW2 at high performance without there being huge drops in FPS.
Im interested if Arenanet have fixed the overwhelming amount of data on the screen when theres too many characters in one area at one given time?
Honestly i love GW2 all has to offer as a game, but this is a huge drawback for me and other people claiming these technical issues.

Reducing the # of chars would reduce the amount of data would solve the problem......but you can see the problem with that right?
2 things the player can do to improve the graphics lag they are experiencing:
1) upgrade their computer
2) lower their resolution and graphics settings.
2 things Arenanet can do:
1) Optimize the client to run smoother.
2) reduce the amount of players allowed in wvwvw.
1 thing Graphics card Driver developers can do:
1) tweak certain algorithms so their cards run the game more efficiently.
a) They will most likely do the best/most tweaking for their newest cards since it is in their best interest to have the consumer(you) buy a new graphics card from them.
b.) Currently Nvidia(and I'm sure AMD) are busy optimizing their newest drivers to be able to run GW2 much better.
Optimizing the client to it's best optimization still may not do much if the player is trying to run the game at highest settings with a subpar computer.
In the end though, the consumer is left with one 'real' choice which is to upgrade their computer.

Did try it in WvWvW for a while and it's just badly optimized from the GW2 side there. Had no problems during the final Beta event

The game runs at 80-100fps on average with all settings maxed
tl;dr the 570 is a beast

They shouldn't have bumped all post-processing effects in one option that is one of the reasons imo

I myself can run it fine on max spare a few things that I just don't feel are unnecessary like vertical sync.

Also runs great on the 630M i5 the laptop has. (medium settings, decent 50-60 fps)

When the game goes live, I'm going to have to start requesting screenshots of this, because... I simply don't believe it. Unless you're playing at 640x480 resolution.

I agree, the game cannot be THAT CPU dependent while conversely not needing jack from the GPU. I have a 7850 overclocked to 1200 core and 1350 mem and a FX-4170 overclocked to 4.6ghz and if I run everything maxed, I drop down to 28ish FPS, even in Metrica province, let alone WvWvW.

I could record with 50+ people on my screen without so much as a dip in fps. I have (i think) a i5-2400 cpu and gfx is HD 6670.

fine. it doesnt help at all.
@op, might wanna wait for full release optimization and the new drivers that had being said to be able to boost your fps while playing gw2.
