Hello All

I've never been much of an RPer in MMOs, however GW2 has such an immersive world that I really want to try it out.  I'm an fairly experienced gw1 power gamer, but again didn't pay much attention to the story or the lore, was just kind of going through the motions and blasting through content.

My question is; for a newbie role player like me, where is a good place look for assistance regarding background lore, basic top 10 tips for RPers, general community interaction and conduct, etc?

Thanks in advance for the help :)

It can also depend on your starting race how much you'll be expected, from an IC perspective, to know. For example, a newborn Sylvari probably wouldn't know the long history between the human nations and the charr, or what happened to Orr, or about the southern nations across the sea. Similarly, an Asura or Norn probably wouldn't care. On the other hand, a human would likely be expected to know their own perspective on those conflicts and their histories, as well as the Six Gods and their domains, while a Charr would know their side of the story and probably would be more or less ignorant of the religious aspects.
