I've started a recipe spreadsheet for Jeweling which will be my secondary craft after cooking. So far I've only got the recipes up to level 50, but after launch I will update it as I learn more. The spreadsheet should be editable for anyone who wants to add to it also.

For anyone who's interested, here is the post:

*Edit - I just added the recipes from GW2 wiki which cover up to level 400. The list isn't complete, of course, but it's a good jumping off point for discovering more recipes!

Taking Jesse's brilliant advice, I also added the spreadsheet to Google Docs so that anyone can readily view it. This version is not editable, though.

Yay!  First my Cook profession gets a posted data base.  Now my Jeweler secondary crafting profession also gets one.  Happy days.

Nicely done. Very clear. Will be useful in getting all the goodies. :)

Nice spreadsheet. You might want to use googledocs to update your spreadsheet, this way you don't have to upload constantly produce a download link after you changed something. With googledocs everyone can see your spreadsheet, you don't have to have an Excelviewer. + you can Copy/paste from excel in googledocs, try it out :)

Brilliant idea! Will do so!

Nice, thank you! This can take some of the discovery frustration away.

I'm not able to use Copper Ingots alone to discover items (particularly the Enchanted Rock Pendant under Skill Lvl 25), am I doing something wrong or is that an error?

I think the problem is that you have to craft the ingots into settings and bands or hooks, then use those combined with stones to discover new recipes.

Edit: I see what you mean now. I think that maybe that particular recipe has to be bought from a karma vender, not discovered.

I crafted a Garnet Copper Ring through discovery just fine...

Great resource.  Discovering new recipes really gives more experience and levels me up faster!  Now I need one for leatherworking...

I was wondering the same but I checked the wiki.  You have to buy the recipe.

Oh, that makes sense. Thanks! There's also a recipe in Kessex Peaks that I found on a vendor that isn't listed on the spreadsheet. I'll post it here when I can log on.

I don't get it. I've started jeweling, got enough copper and pebbles to discover 6 different rings and 6 different earrings, but I'm stuck at level 41. I can duplicate some jewels I already discovered from that list, but that won't give me that much XP.
There's nothing else I can craft... I need to reach level 50, but I can't make a chain or filigree yet. What am I missing here?
How did you get to 50?

I first refined all the copper into ingots - learnt from weaponsmithing, shot myself in the foot with that one by starting discovery too soon.

If the worst comes to the worst, extra copper and gems to make orange recipes should get you through it if you've already created all the discoveries.

Yeah I guess that's the only thing left to do. I just thought it strange, as with weapon/armour/leather and huntsmanship I always had enough combinations left to discover to make it easily to each next tier. This is the first time I actually got stranded below a tier without any new discoveries to make.
