Saving Builds?

This way i can have maybe 3 different builds or however much they would allow and each one would have a name like "Support", "Burst", etc... That way when i need to play a different roll for various reasons i can just click on which of my other builds i want to use.

I like the idea, so for example I could have one Direct Damage build one Condition Damage build etc and easily swap between them and modify them if necessary. Maybe I just want to try something out and don't want to go through the hassle of getting new runes, sigils etc.

Not only that, but GW2 actually forces you to run around the PvP area talking to NPCs to get the mods. I mean, I get that it makes it easier to figure out and it's more immersive, but once you figure it out - there's absolutely no reason for the game to continue forcing you to do it the long way.
Same thing with forcing you to do the PvE tutorial before you are allowed to take him to PvP.

You're right - A.Net should look how other MMOs do it, instead of looking at how they did it with GW1. Why would they build on a superb system if they can bring in a crappy one instead?
Wasting 10 minutes on character creation is wasting a PvP match. There's no reason for making people PREPARE to PvP, when they want to PLAY PvP.

At the very least something similar to WoW's duel-specs where you can save any two builds and change between them out of combat with a few second cast time.
And if all you're going to do is say no to the idea without offering feedback on WHY you think it would be a bad idea, stop posting maybe?

Basically telling people to do without it isn't my idea of constructive criticism, or telling them to do it themselves.
Unless you have an argument as to why it SHOULDN'T be added, other than we don't need it, there isn't much constructive against it.
The only thing I see is your first post, which is honestly a non-issue. They can't change it in combat, and would still have to fix their gear. It shortens the time, but not by enough alone to make a huge difference.

Because it's true changing 1 thing don't take long, but adjusting your skills, then go buy new weapons & sigils (if you play pve with the same char you need space), buy new runes add them 1by1, amulet, then adjusting the traits... In the end it make you loose lot of time.
Be able to save your favorites builds and chnage with one button clic, it's priceless!

Yeah I remember them mentioning that they'd look into it after launch.
Irritating having to save builds outside the game just to remember which skill/trait/point combinations you want for specific role/content.
Question, feedback or issue? Pm me!

Exactly, this is the way it work in gw. You save your armor set/build. They only must add the trait template in gw2.

The equipment and major trait build save/load would be an easy button click in the hero window, aside from character storage and error handling after losing equipment & resetting traits.
Assigning trait points from template would be another matter and only retrievable at any class/trait master NPC
