Do you think they should add a feature for pvp to save a certain build? Like say you create a high DPS build but then you want to play a different role like in a tournement or something do you think Anet should add a feature that lets us save past builds under a certain name so we can just switch back and forth instead of refunding the traits and trying to remember what we had?

This way i can have maybe 3 different builds or however much they would allow and each one would have a name like "Support", "Burst", etc... That way when i need to play a different roll for various reasons i can just click on which of my other builds i want to use.

No. If you want to change your build, then simply change it. It doesn't take that much time.

Maybe not be able to change during the game but before while you are waiting for the game to start. Instead of having to leave the game, sort your build out and joining a new one, or changing your build manually while a game is going on and not helping your team.

there are just 5 skills to choose,it's not a big deal, and the skill trees can be modified pretty fast.

I didnt mean saving utility because thats easy enough to change. And ya its not gonna take 30 min to change your traits but there isnt enough time before a new game starts to completely change your traits to a different build. You will have to leave and join back which can be a pain if you are playing with friends and want to be on their team. Its not at all a MUST but i thought it would be a cool little feature to make it a little easier.

How about the 6 armor runes, 2-4 weapon sigils, medal and jewel. Also maybe swapping out weapons.
I like the idea, so for example I could have one Direct Damage build one Condition Damage build etc and easily swap between them and modify them if necessary. Maybe I just want to try something out and don't want to go through the hassle of getting new runes, sigils etc.

Not only that, but GW2 actually forces you to run around the PvP area talking to NPCs to get the mods. I mean, I get that it makes it easier to figure out and it's more immersive, but once you figure it out - there's absolutely no reason for the game to continue forcing you to do it the long way.
Same thing with forcing you to do the PvE tutorial before you are allowed to take him to PvP.

yeah, that takes another wapping 10 minutes!could people stop nitpicking, why don't you try an other MMO,where you have to grind hundreds of hours to actually do max lvl pvp.If 10 minutes is to much for you,i suggest you try something else

You're right - A.Net should look how other MMOs do it, instead of looking at how they did it with GW1. Why would they build on a superb system if they can bring in a crappy one instead?

Wasting 10 minutes on character creation is wasting a PvP match. There's no reason for making people PREPARE to PvP, when they want to PLAY PvP.

Would be a nice feature to have. Its more convenient to not need to spent 10 minutes fiddling with points and picking your traits every time you want to change what you're doing.

At the very least something similar to WoW's duel-specs where you can save any two builds and change between them out of combat with a few second cast time.

And if all you're going to do is say no to the idea without offering feedback on WHY you think it would be a bad idea, stop posting maybe?

Basically telling people to do without it isn't my idea of constructive criticism, or telling them to do it themselves.

Unless you have an argument as to why it SHOULDN'T be added, other than we don't need it, there isn't much constructive against it.

The only thing I see is your first post, which is honestly a non-issue. They can't change it in combat, and would still have to fix their gear. It shortens the time, but not by enough alone to make a huge difference.

Only my to cents but I would like a preset 3 or so builds (taht I made myself) just for convenience as, after all, this is a casual orintated game.

Personally, I wouldn't mind a PvP locker you access between rounds which contains armour/weapons with your chosen upgrades, and a specific set of traits. I don't mind not having it, but pvp requires a huge amount of preparation atm, if you want to try out a different build without going back to the mists.

Didn't need that.

They could even make it save the whole thing : utilities, runes, sigils, weapons & traits.
Because it's true changing 1 thing don't take long, but adjusting your skills, then go buy new weapons & sigils (if you play pve with the same char you need space), buy new runes add them 1by1, amulet, then adjusting the traits... In the end it make you loose lot of time.

Be able to save your favorites builds and chnage with one button clic, it's priceless!

They were going to implement this IF enough people asked for it after launch. I basicly think everyone wants this unless ur some random kid who needs to find the door himself.

Yeah I remember them mentioning that they'd look into it after launch.

Irritating having to save builds outside the game just to remember which skill/trait/point combinations you want for specific role/content.

Question, feedback or issue? Pm me!

Exactly, this is the way it work in gw. You save your armor set/build. They only must add the trait template in gw2.

I forgot how much fun was distribute attribute points and all the searching/dragging/dropping stuff before joining PvP. Endless times!

I'd like a feature like that for all players out of combat, like switching Utilities. If there are 2 builds i like to use frequently it'd make it a lot easier and more convenient to simply load another build and try to remember what points went where.

Yup. Hard to remember if you had 20 points in one of the five traits or 30 points in another.

The equipment and major trait build save/load would be an easy button click in the hero window, aside from character storage and error handling after losing equipment & resetting traits.

Assigning trait points from template would be another matter and only retrievable at any class/trait master NPC
