Is this a gaming website using their stupid 4 point scale? If the numbers are 1-10, 5 should be mediocre. Average. In the middle.

Using an actual 1-10 scale, I would say a 7/10 for an MMO launch (it's extremely popular which will exacerbate the problems people will have) and a 3/10 for any other game.

This is absolutely right. The correct answer is "11".

I did not determine this through time travel, but independently, using Science.

11.

Weird scale, how come 5 is really bad ? Anyway, like 7 I think, and I hope.

I guess you're right. But I mean, when things are rated between 1-10, 5 is usually a bad score. I'll have to update the op.

I'm going to say 8. I'm going to predict there will be problems the first couple hours but I'm also going to predict that Anet will have expected this and thus have launched the servers at least 2 hours early in anticipation. Therefore, the actual official head start launch time will go relatively smoothly.

Honestly? An 8 or 9. They still have a few minor things, but with all these stress tests they've had they really made a solid game

I expect a 6-7. I expect it to be buggy enough to annoy some people, but not Diablo 3 buggy. And by buggy I mean everyone logging in as soon as they can and messing it up a bit.

The deliberately fudged log in time and the extensive testing ANet have done should work in their favour. If they manage to even come close to blizzard level service then they should be ashamed. I've had a recurring issue with sPvP for a while and no ability to report it since I first noticed it (I can  work around it, it's just time consuming and frustrating to do so) if that's present it's the sort of thing that deducts points for me. I'm expecting an above average launch.

Of course my last launch was rift, that set the bar for launches, there were queues for a while but then they added more servers. II don't expect ANet to match it, trion actually were too hasty to provide more servers in the end, but I think the ease it was done with shows launches don't have to be a travesty.

I actually expect the experience to be a 10. ANet knows what it's doing. Dwayna help us all if it's anywhere nearly as bad as D3...

We'll all know in slightly more than a day! Can't hardly wait!

You know there is a report bug option in the support menu if you hit esc...just saying. =D

From the Beta Weekends and Stress Tests, I'd guess actual launch this Friday night will be around an 8. Not perfect, but certainly a lot better than most MMO launches.

Too late now. Ah they moved it off the bars for stress tests so I assumed they didn't care for feedback so much. Ah well, I guess I can report it if it's present on live.

From a scale of 1 to 10, how buggy do you think the launch will be tomorrow night?

What, exactly, is the point of this thread?

From a scale of 1 to 10, what are the chances the world will end tomorrow?
From a scale of 1 to 10, what are the chances one of us will get hit by a bus tomorrow?
From a scale of 1 to 10, what are the chances one of us will get a computer virus that wipes our machine tomorrow?

Who the &%$@ knows? Who cares? If they fix the bugs then it's irrelevant. Thus far ANet has shown the ability and desire to improve their game, that's all that matters

I wanted to get people's opinions on the launch. That's the point.

I think your scale is backwards... judging how "buggy" it is, 1 would be least, 10 be most.  However, you're asking how flawless will it be... and I think it'll be around an 8.  Not many bugs aside from the expected few that creep up on every release.

Worse than Rift but better than D3. Yes, that is a giant margin.

I asked cleverbot:

Quote

On a scale of 1 to 10 with 1 being the most buggy, 5 being average for an MMO release and 10 being bug free, how buggy will the GW2 launch be?

Strangers, waiting, up and down the boulevard Their shadows searching in the night Streetlight people, living just to find emotion Hiding somewhere in the night.

7-8.

Games are always buggy at launch. Especially in untested areas.

I anticipate that the 9,999,999 potential bugs, network issues, rampaging squirrels, hackers, spilled coffe, and etc they're aware of will be non-issues when we actually go live. But the 10,000,000th one nobody thought of, that for some reason never popped up during beta; will strike at 9:01pm.

- Murphy's Law that every MMO in past has had something occur at launch.

Maybe we'll all log in and discover we're pandas in PJs or something, with no explanation. :)

After all the stress tests, I would hope that it would be around 7-8. I mean, they know exactly how many people have pre-purchased, so they should be prepared. I would imagine there will still be little bugs here and there, and there will likely be a little lag with all the people in the starting areas, but if there are any major problems that pretty much means that someone has most definitely dropped the ball in a huge way.
