For those of us going Human, which story line do you plan to pursue? I've began stories for Noble and Sewer Rat and though I really don't want to go Sewer Rat it seemed to be funner then Noble in the beginning. Anyone try Middle Class and what are your thoughts?

Commoner and Noble.
With Street Rat, I just don't like the "buddy" character.

Commoner, simply because it suits my character's background better. Though I'll probably end up creating characters from the other two eventually.

If I play human, it'll be sewer rat.

I was born poor in real life, I'll die poor regardless of what I do, might as well revel in it.

Noble story line certainly felt the most natural as to your friendship with Thackery, but then again he's a arrogant self serving betraying sack of ................ wait what was the question..

Street Rat and Noble. Opposites of each other. It'll be interesting seeing the differences.

Or a guy that likes to get some and value HIS people over everyone else. And while hindsight is 20/20 for the reader you have to put yourself in the situation he was in.

It was in the books and is pretty widely known that he screwed his team over to get laid.

Absolutely no sense of bros before hos. Scumbag Logan.

If that's the only reason you don't like Street Rat, you should give it another try.

I'm sorry, but if you care about spoilers you would not be creating a thread specifically about spoilers. Besides, if you don't know what happened with Destiny's Edge by now you must have been living under a rock for the past 1-2 years, in which case it's unlikely you'd create/read a thread like this.

Lastly him being a betraying sack of **** is a point of contention and not really a factual spoiler of a event.
Reading what I said, you'd still have no idea what had happened had you no other information on the subject.

I thought he was commenting on what he does much later in the human storyline. I never played GW so I didn't understand the reference.

The event in question took place after the first game ended and before the second game started, it was covered in one of the books released to bridge the gap during guild wars 1 and guild wars 2. you will come to hear about it in game if you haven't read the books.

I apologies if I spoiled something for you, it's just that it's such a widely known subject I don't really expect anyone not to know about it if their interest in this game is large enough for them to be hanging out on gw2guru.

I certainly hadn't known he was like that. He seems like a great guy in the story lines I've played so far. Now, if he does something dishonorable later in the storyline, I'm not going to be surprised and shocked :(

I don't mind at all that I know it wasnt from GW2 and beyond xD, I was thinking something along the lines of him becoming a Lich and joining Zhaitan lol.

I'll be going with Commoner for my Human.

It feels to me like the noble and street rat are always expected to do great things in storylines......while the Commoner is just that, the commoner.

Logan isnt that bad. His decision back then in the book may not have been justified, but in the end it served the greater good. The greater good for humans, I mean. Having a united nation is the last thing standing between the current situation and total annihilation of human nation in Tyria (the continent).

Also the commoner is not that boring or anything. It's just dealing with regular bandits isnt that fun or glorious. Even if in the end they prove to be not so regular.

I played Commoner in the last beta weekend event and am excited to be able to continue the storyline beyond level 20.

I played noble and street rat as well during the event, but Commoner is the one that I enjoyed the most, and definitely the one that surprised me and made me want to continue it. It's my favorite of the three.

Street Rat for my Thief and Commoner for my Ranger. I'm kind of curious about Noble though, haven't tired a stress test character with that background yet.

I'm avoiding the street rat story like the plague.  The "buddy" you get is the GW2 version of Kormir.

Noble for my Warrior, Commoner or Rat for my Thief, not sure on Necro. Whichever one I don't pick for Thief I guess.
