I can't believe I tried to switch characters. I could still be... ignoring my body's needs and starving to death while playing obsessively exploring maps.


Changing chars was also my downfall...

Firewall every time. At least I've gotten all my names reserved and managed to get to level 10 so I'm ok with a bit of waiting now. It's understandable that they have focused on servers for continous play rather than the one day massive peak today.

Ugh... so frustrating... played for 7 hours straight with no issues... now... firewall error message over and over. Hope they fix this quick!

this is getting silly, it was easier to get in during the first hours then now? What is going on. They just went dark it seems, nothing on twitter since the problem started..

I understand there being issues, but why can't they keep us informed. Instead of us sitting here blind not knowing if it will be up in 5 min or 5 hours. Seriously, that is the most annoying thing imo. You have customers, talk to them ffs.

They have been updating twitter and Facebook... why do you want them to give an ETA if they don't have one...

Ive been playing for 2 hours ina row (with some problems though), then kicked out because of a firewall error (obviously not true since i was playing fine before and on the stress test) and now Ive been trying to log in for the last hour, but nothing, server seems to be still down.

I'd like to remind to all those ppl justifying anet, that YOU HAVE PRE-BUIED the game earlier to be able to play it! Furthermore, GW2 has not been done in 2 months, and it went on several tests and betas, so anet is completely wrong and has not excuses.

Then pls don't say that they have no way to estimate the stress the game is gonna undertake. I'm studying engineering, and i can assure u that u dont need to experience the full stress to know how much stress could the game undergo to.
What we are experiencing today is just ridiculous. I think they should even give us something as a kind of refund if this thing keeps on not working for today.

I payed for 3 days ahead start, I dont want them to steal me not even 1 minute onestly!

So people can moan. "Omg you said the servers would be up in around 2 hours, it's now been 2 hours and 2 minutes, giev the game already!"

Did I say I wanted them to give us a specific time? No.

I said I wanted to be kept in the loop. IE more then "We'll keep you updated". I want them to actually keep us updated, "we're working on locating the problem", or "We've found the problem and are working on a fix". I want to feel like they care about me as a customer and aren't just putting out publicity statements doing damage control with extremely generic messages.

It's awesome that you're studying engineering, and I wish you well on your very long journey... a journey that begins with understanding that you really don't understand much at this point.

The stress tests focused on the main servers, which are independent of both the billing and authentication servers, the latter of which seems to be the current hurdle or bottleneck.

What is ridiculous - and I thank you for actually spelling that correctly - is dragging out the torches and pitchforks at this point when we don't really have any information as to what went wrong, if it was avoidable or how long it may go on for.

Last time the firewall after password issue occured you were able to remedy it by clearing your username and pass and unchecking remember password, then typing it in and trying again.

firewall error all morning.... got in for a few minutes then it happened again... Already missed 1 whole day because of the errors, looks like todays going to be the same.
