If I were to pay for this armor skin does it last forever? 500 gems is a lot to pay every few levels if you have to buy a new one each time you replace gear. It says "The art skin can be applied once per piece to replace the appearance of another heavy armor item." Let me give some examples for extra clarity:

Scenario 1:

You have the following equipped - Helm, Shoulder, Chest, Gloves, Pants, Boots

You pay for this armor skin and you use it to transform your current gear into the specific look.

Scenario 2:

You have the following equipped - Helm, Shoulder, Chest, Gloves, Pants, Boots

You pay for this armor skin and you use it to transform your current gear into the specific look.

You then find another Helm two hours later and want to transform your new helm into the armor skin.

Which of the two is correct? Thanks for your time.

I'd like to know this as well.

The armour is consume on use, so if you use it on a piece of level 10 gear and replace it later with something else you will not retain the primeval skin.

However, I would imagine you can use Transmutation Stones to keep the primeval look on a new piece of gear.

The wording says " The art skin can be replaced ONCE".
It's right there, but you can use a Transmutation stone have the skin follow your characters progress after that. Mostly found by 100% a map. Hope this helps.

how do you obtain transmutation stones, I mean i got a bunch free from doing a story mission but, are they a CS thing or is there another way of obtaining them i overlooked?

The level 80 ones are only from the cash shop, which is really bad form when there are countless armours and weapons to collect.

That is incorrect, You cna also get them from black lion chests in lots of 5, so far ive gotten 20 out of those and ive opend about 10 chests that i found along with finding keys.

Cash shop is easist method but not the only

After opening about 20 chests I've had 1 lot (didn't remember where I got em from until now) but it's totally random, and so really pointless when trying to complete sets of gear.

Thats true but i mean you cna buy the stones for gold (via gold for gems) so its still like having them drop from monsters and then being sold on an auction house so i don't see the problem with it

Prob with that is, once the TP starts working, the prices of gems will be sky rocketing. I don't really fancy spending 100 gold on a set of armour only to have to spend the same again to transmute it

If you think though it will be no worse than now as the price of gems will rise at a stedy pase with income (hopefully) so it will be no worse buying them now than in 2 months it will jsut seem like more due to it costing more gold but percentge wise it will be roughly similar

I used 125 gems that I had left over from storage, char slots and the heavy skin to buy the regular stones for xmuting the armor.
I have been using the armor from level 3. (level 50 now)
I received 15 regular stones and 5 fine stones from 4 chest. Not sure how many I have opened, not that many.
I have 12 stones in the bank now, not counting the fine stones and I hope they will last up to 79.
Then I will use the fine stones at 80.
So far, it's been working out very well for me.

Bump question.

So why does this armor not work on pvp gear?, nowhere does it state that it does not work on pvp gear, neither in the gemstore, in the description, nor on the wiki.

whats going on ?
